[3rd POV]
It was a peaceful day in the hotel. Everyone was either lounging around working on papers or at their designated jobs, like husk. Husk was the barmaid that worked at the hotel wasn't much of a joyful person as others thought she was.

One day, a male walked into the hotel and headed to get a room from Charlie before he seen Husk. Husk looked over and spotted Y/n and growled at him, she hated him and he hated her, but no one knew why. "Husker." The hell hound growled "Y/n." The barmaid hissed. This caused Charlie, and Alastor to look at the two with confusion on their faces while Vaggie and Angel looked with interest, wanting to know what the feud was about.

The four other demons in the room could sense the tension between their barmaid and newcomer at the hotel. "How about we all just calm down and we go get you checked in?" Charlie tries to calm the situation down. Luckily, it worked as Y/n calmed down and followed the princess to her office, not breaking eye contact with Husk. "Hey kitty, who's that and why were you eying him like that?" Angel asked as he sat at the bar

"I told you quit calling me that! And that was Y/n. He was um..someone in my life while we were alive but that's no longer us anymore. He came home battered and bruised one day. I asked what happened but I got no response. Then he began to resent me and never told me why so I resented him back. I was tired of trying to figure out what went wrong. Even in death he still acts this way so I'll do the same." Husk scoffed, drying her hands as she took a sip of her booze.

"Wait,wait, wait. So what I'm hearing is that hunk is your ex? How did you end up getting him to resent you?! What the hell did you do?" Angel asked, placing his glass down "I don't even know- I mean we're both gamblers so there could be a few things that I did." "Well you're gonna need to figure out a way to get along, he will be staying here with us now." Husk sighed as she finished her bottle, going back to cleaning the counter after the two other demons walked away. "Stupid Y/n.."

Over the next couple of weeks Y/n began staying at the hotel, the feuding got worse, and it was always over petty things. "Get the hell away from my bar." Husk hissed "I want a drink, and it's not your bar, you just work here." Y/n rolled his eyes and glared at Husk "You're right, and I'm deciding not to serve you." The feline replied as she rolled her eyes. This caused Y/n to move behind the counter and pick Husk up, moving her to the bars counter as he grabbed a bottle of whiskey and headed back to his room, not sparing a glance at a frustrated, but blushing barmaid. "And you say you hate each other?" Angel snickered. "Shut up!"

Y/n was talking to himself, wasted in Husk's room as he laid on her bed and snuggled in her covers. Once husk got there to the room, she rolled her eyes and tried to get Y/n out of the room. "Get out of my room you mutt." She grumbled before that annoyance turned into shock as she was pulled into the bed and held close "why did you do it?" Y/n whined. "Do what?" Husk looked over at him "you sold me out!.." the male cried

"I was always loyal to you! I never let anyone hurt you and the moment you thought we were gonna get caught you sold me out!" He sniffled while Husk slapped her head in realization. Y/n loved loyalty as much as Husk loved honesty. They always promised to respect that for the other before Husk messed it up. Now everything made sense for them.

"Stop crying you big baby, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean it like that.." Husk tried to comfort him "you promised me we were gonna be in it together and you sold me ou-" Husk did the only thing she knew that shut Y/n up, pulling him into a kiss and scratching behind his ears. "Let's just go to sleep, you're drunk and we need to talk things out tomorrow morning okay?" She whispered gently "okay..." he pulled her close like usual, cuddling Husk in his arms as he fell into a deep sleep, both Y/n and Husk's tails curling up together.
