That next morning, when the morning sun eventually shines through the curtains, Shuttle had slept in his bed uncomfortably tucked away in the corner of it. He seemed distressed about something, tucking himself in the corner was what he thought was the best thing to do. He must have had a nightmare.

Two quietly peeked into the room through the gap but slowly grew concerned for their new child as they realised he looked a little upset.

"Shuttles..?" They spoke as they opened the door as quietly as they could, closing it behind them and maintaining their quietness so they didn't disturb Shuttle. "Did you.. not sleep well?"

It took Two a moment to realise that their son was tucked into the corner of the bed. They found this quite amusing and tried to reason with him to get him in a more comfy position while making sure to be quiet.

"Hey!! Haha!.. You do realise that there IS a more convenient way to lay in bed right? You don't have to just tuck yourself in a little ball and cram yourself in the corner Shuttles."

They softly picked Shuttle up and watched his tiny feet dangle, the cute little thing stopped for a moment before looking over at their arm and biting them.

"Ow!!.." they quietly yelped as they put Shuttle down again, thinking about how to teach her about her habit.

Two went to go grab a plaster in the drawer, keeping an eye on Shuttle. Then when placing down the plaster on their arm they turned to face Shuttle again, noticing that he too was biting his own arm.

"Shuttles!!..." Two carefully grabbed Shuttle's arm and pulled it away from her mouth, Shuttle looking confused as she looked up at Two, who proceeded to try to teach her about her wrongdoings.

"Shuttles.. uhh.. don't.. don't bite people!!.. Yeah! Don't do that! Because... it's.. it's mean!! Yeah..."

Shuttle did her signature confused expression, so Two sighed and attempted to go into more depth.

"Okay.. so.. You know when you bit me.. Right? I had a response. I said "ow" when you bit me, others don't like it when you bite them... like me. So.. maybe try not to bite me in future? You're not in trouble Shuttles!! Just.. I wanted to.. tell you why this is wrong.. you know.. I just really hope this isn't a habit for you.."

Shuttle nodded and smiled, rubbing his eyes too. Two seeing this gave them an idea, so they picked them up and held them tight and walked over to the rocking chair in the room.

"Have Four and X ever put you on one of these?" They said, sitting in the chair and having Shuttle close to their chest. "I noticed you didn't sleep well, so hopefully this'll help!"

They got comfortable and noticed a radio next to them, they turned it on and it made a buzzing noise, which seemed to scare Shuttle. Two thought and covered her ears with their hand which seemed to calm her down as they used their other hand to find a radio station they wanted. They found a radio station that played music that Shuttle found soothing, its mindful tunes sprouted around the room, bestowing a feeling of comfort inside Shuttle.

"I hope this feels okay for you Shuttles."

Slowly they began to rock on the chair, back and forth and back and forth. Shuttle softly clung onto their new parent, seeming to be enjoying this new experience as their parent rocked them back and forth while on the rocking chair. Two took their hand off of Shuttle's ears and began to lay her down on their chest, wrapping their squishy arms around Shuttle and laying their hands on her back.

Shuttle let out a soft squeak as she relaxed onto her newfound parent's chest, quite literally tucking herself into a little grape with how ball-looking she was at this point. Two noticed this and chuckled.

"You don't have to do that, I know it's not comfortable for you. But I do admit, you look very silly like that, little Shuttles"

Shuttle slowly looked up at them and untucked himself from his position, looking way more comfortable than he did before. Shuttle looked quite content and undisturbed until he looked over at the radio. He seemed to have finally noticed the music and took interest in it. It felt like warmth was soothing his little heart, he hadn't heard anything like it before.

Soon the music and atmosphere became so calming that Shuttle felt himself drifting off. He laid his head on Two's arm and yawned, tucking his little hands onto it as well before curling up and eventually falling asleep, moments later even sucking his thumb too.

Two's heart seemed to have melted at this point, finding the little child's actions absolutely adorable. They decided to get as comfortable as they could in the rocking chair and continued rocking, back and forth, until they fell asleep too.

Sooner or later, the little kid began to have very vivid dreams, very contradicting to the dreams he had before stumbling upon his caring parent. Ones about him being back home in his treehouse and going out for walks. Except this time, he could stand on his own to feet on his own. This lone fact kind of scared him, as he thought something had happened to him and that walking meant bad, considering he'd never done it before.

Shuttle stood before a forest, a familiar red flowing cape way too big for him dragged across the ground, tied around his neck. He stood loud and proud. However fear ran through his veins like the goop did inside of him, a chipped wooden sword held tightly in his clutches while his gecko plush, Squishy, rested tightly alongside him in his other hand.

Shuttle raised her sword at the sky, smiling as she continued to venture off into the forest on her little quest. The little grape guy scurried off on her own two feet into the bushes as she searched around for something, what could it be?

She heard herself make some slightly familiar sounds, but she couldn't make out what the sounds were due to her muffled voice. She didn't think too much of it when she trekked off into the area.

Eventually, Shuttle stopped in front of a few flowers. They smiled as they realised they were X's favourites: buttercups. Shuttle smiled and waved their arms a little because the little yellow flowers reminded them of their best friend. They couldn't help but pick a few and put them into a basket, noticing they had one as they slightly swayed it back and forth for a few seconds.

He walked out of the forest and stopped by a funny-looking plant. Shuttle sighed and thought to himself for a moment before shrugging and walking off. I don't think that particular plant would be TOO significant, right?

The dream ended when the purple goober walked on over around a very unfamiliar area, near a large building, in an attempt to find X. However he did find him in a little area inside the building as he rang the little bell on the counter and held the basket.

The bell rang and X came out while looking around. He didn't notice anyone was there at first until he looked down, seeing the little one with a basket in his hands, full of picked buttercups and seeds. The cheery smile Shuttle knew X for was plastered upon X's face as he thanked Shuttle for such a nice act, even for a little one who seemed to still be learning.

Soon, everything seemed to fade away, as Shuttle still laid in Two's embrace. Shuttle sucked his thumb while grasping Squishy, Two still asleep as the radio still played soft music and as the rocking chair creaked as it rocked from side to side.

He felt so at ease, their embrace was so warm and welcoming it felt like he was experiencing warmth for the first time in a while.

I guess we can see how he ends up in the morning...?
