I feel like Alex knows something is up, so I told everyone to act normal around her and not make anything suspicious because she always thinks everyone is up to something already. I just want this moment to feel something special to her.
My mother kept saying she thought Luciano was going to get married first out of all of her children, but I had to prove her wrong. Soon enough all of her children are going to be married. Only two will be happy with their marriages and one is going to despise hers. She might even kill her arranged husband who knows what Devina is capable of at this point. This woman is still scared of the dark.
Cora told me what rings Alex loved, so I bought the nicest one out of the ones she picked and I think I am satisfied with the options she had. Now all I have to do is wait for the moment which is very soon. I just hope when that night decides to roll around I just want it to be perfect.
Four years ago, I didn't think this would happen. I thought I lost her for good and she was going to marry someone else who she didn't seem to have any interest in for real. I could tell if someone likes someone else, but I think she agreed to marry him because she just wanted to move on or just wanted that feeling, but I promise to make this engagement a hundred times better than the last one.
As this war comes closer and closer everything gets more tense and serious. It is only in my free time I have time to think and talk to Alex. My other time is when I am doing work and getting weapon orders together. I have to make sure I have enough ammo, and soldiers, which I have more than enough. Even the stations I need everyone set up as. Luciano, Taytum, Mauricio, Devina, and I are making sure the groups we are in charge of are on top of their missions and assignments.
Some of my soldiers are already on planes to France because Andreas likes to sneak up on people, so we are doing the same. He likes to attack when he knows were aren't aware of what is happening. There were many times he has done that, but I like to backfire his own strategies because it is unexpected.
Mauricio made sure our planes were not showing up on anyone's radar in France so as soon as they landed my men and women would be setting up in the locations I assigned them and planes would be back to get the remainder of us. I know this war I will lose many people, but one thing I am praying for is I don't lose anyone in the Gambino family. I promise myself before any mission is to take me first. If I don't come back or in the hospital brain dead or whatever reason. I made sure to tell my mother, father, and Cora that I was planning to propose after all of this was over and made sure to give her the ring, but let's pray that doesn't happen and I come back in one piece and able to function so I could get on one knee and do it myself.
