Personality: People would describe him as gloomy or unapproachable. He doesn't really care about a lot of things or the people around him. He pretty much isolates himself from others and keeps to himself, seeing no point in trying to establish relationships. He's also pretty lifeless, pretty much losing his spark from how long he's "lived." He's pretty quiet, usually only saying a few words, but he'll talk more to those who actually tried to establish some kind of relationship with him. He can also be quite scary sometimes in certain situations, though that doesn't happen often. He may seem bland, but he has his own personal hobbies that he doesn't mind talking about.
Backstory: Reincarnation: a process where a living being lives a completely different life after their death. This cycle of life, death, and rebirth continue on eternally for the selected few experiencing this cycle is unaware this is actually happening. Well, it should be, but not for Joel. He was first born long ago as a powerful sorcerer to a time that is not mentioned in any history books. He helped those in need and tried to lead others to a better path. Though upon his death, the torturous unending cycle began. Each time he was reborn, he remembered everything he had done and experienced in his past lives, whether he was forced to or not. This cycle continued for centuries, gaining a new identity, living in a completely new environment, establishing new relationships just to lose them all forever, and experiencing many things. The longer this went for, the more lifeless he became as he now saw everything as the same. Either good things happened to him or bad things, it didn't matter to him since in the end he'll perish and relive life all over again. Now he just hope one day death will finally free him from this torture.

Other: Whenever he uses too much of certain magic, such as elemental magic, then it could cause some physical damage. For example, using too much ice will make him develop frostbite in a few places or fire magic will develop burns in some areas. He has been in a few wars from different lives, so he definitely knows self defense and can beat anyone relatively easy. If he's given a weapon that he's used in one of the wars, he knows how to use them effectively even if it's been years. He is an art major in the college he is attending since he likes drawing to try to express himself. Sometimes he'll just poke himself in random places just to feel something again. He also knows how to play guitar, though he usually plays by himself.
