Looks: Tan skin with fluffy black hair and yellow eyes. Their casual clothes is usually a loose fit black short sleeved shirt, white pants, and white sneakers. At work, they wear a teal, formal button long sleeved shirt, a black vest, a black tie, black pants, and black dress shoes. They also wear circular black glasses.
Height: 6'3 or 190.5 cm
Weight: 156 lbs or 70.76 kg
Personality: They appear as a friendly and happy individual. They have no trouble talking to other people and listening to others, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to talk to. They're very aware of others emotions and can pretty much read anyone like a book at first glance, despite not knowing the exact details. If someone lied to them or aren't telling the whole truth, then they know. Though they won't call them out unless they know they're dangerous, they don't want to pry since everyone has their reasons. They just subconsciously take others' feelings into consideration, though they mostly don't realize it. They're just natural that way. They also appear to be soft, which is surprising for their occupation considering unsavory folk are attracted to their bar frequently. However, they are very good at pretending. Underneath their facade is a guilt ridden individual who is very hard on themselves. Though they excel in caring for others, that said, can't be the same for themself. Sometimes they'll accidentally stay up all night or forget to eat essential meals. They are incredibly tough physically despite their soft exterior, knowing hand to hand combat and how to handle a knife and gun, though they never use it to kill.
Backstory: Max was born into a regular middle class household. They had a loving and supportive family, no siblings but they didn't mind at all. Everything was normal until they turned five when they noticed something strange with their voice. Sometimes when they talked they noticed a slight echo would occasionally come, though their parents never seemed to hear it. They also noticed that when this phenomenon happened and they asked their parents for something, they always did it. The first time this happened was when they asked for a cookie before dinner, and was surprised when they got one when the usual answer was no. After a bit of experimenting, they realized whenever this weird echo appeared in their voice, they were able to tell their parents what to do, which they thought was cool. At first they only used it occasionally, such as asking for something that their parents would say no to or to get out of trouble. As they got older, they learned how to control this power and started using it more frequently. They would ask for more things, get their parents to do their homework for them, and so on. They thought it was all harmless, until they turned eleven. They noticed their parents would become unresponsive and emotionless. They never did anything on their own anymore, they just stayed in one place. Max tried to get them to move or to talk to them when they noticed this, but nothing worked. When they used their ability to get them to talk to them and they did in a monotonous manner, they realized they caused this to happen. Struck with panic, they ran to their neighbor to get help. Soon their parents were constantly being looked at different doctors, finding nothing physically wrong, then mental health specialists who also could not find what could be causing this mental shut down. But Max knew, and they couldn't say anything because who would believe them? After months of this, their parents were taken away to who knows where and they were taken in by their Aunt, who didn't hesitate to take them in. They stayed with their Aunt all the way through school and a little after, who always treated them as their own child. They never dare to use their ability on their Aunt, not wanting to make the same mistake again. When they finally moved out, they moved far away to open their own bar called The Wandering Bee after taking an interest in mixing drinks. They opened this place for others to have a welcoming space to get away from their problems and reality for a brief moment, of course keeping it safe and healthy.
Likes: Mixing drinks, alcohol, sweets, cooking, reading, dancing, and music.
Dislikes: His ability, troublemakers, rodents, bitter food, having to pretend, being alone, and the dark.
Abilities: Hypnotic voice: an ability where they can hypnotize others using their voice. Those that are hypnotized have no choice to do what they say until they release them or they make them fall asleep, which they will be back to themselves when they wake up. If they use this ability too much and frequently on an individual, they that person will become a mindless puppet who can't do anything unless Max tells them to do something. If this happens, it cannot be reversed.
Occupation: Bartender
Other: Max hasn't used their ability on another person since their parents, but every few months it forces itself to activate, which they can't control. When that happens, they close their bar down for a few days and figured out they can use their ability on themself, so they just use it to force them to sleep. This sleep is never pleasant, which they do on purpose, they become completely still and silent, not to mention they feel awful when they wake up. They have hidden muscles that can't be seen but can definitely be felt. Although they know hand to hand combat, they are better at dodging hits than dealing them, though that doesn't mean their punches don't hurt. It is extremely hard to hit them since they can dodge fluidly and flexibly from all the different dance styles like to try in their free time. They also have a pet salamander named Sal (they aren't very creative with names.) Sal is surprisingly intelligent and animated, and very aware of his owners current emotions.
