After i'd gotten home from school and i'd picked Brooklyn up from school, i sat her down in the living room for her to do her homework while i did mine. There was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Brook cried jumping up.
"No, Brooklyn get over here now!" i said. But she leaped to the door and swung it open. Thank goodness it was only Josh. He hugged her but let go when he saw my expression. I sharply grabbed Brooklyn by her arm and popped her mouth. She started crying.
"You know mom and dad don't let you answer the door" I told her.
"Robin you hit me!" she sobbed.
"Take your little ass over to the living room and do your homework" i said.
"You swore! i'm telling mommy on you!" she cried walking over and sitting on the couch.
"Tell mom i don't care! and i tell her you answered the door without permission too!" i snapped. Josh stood there shocked.
"Are you gonna stand there like an idiot or are you gonna come in here" i snapped. He stepped in smiling.
"Sooo, i brought you some things" he said. Then he walked in with a huge bag of groceries.
"Oh thanks, now i know what to make for dinner" i said. I reached up on my tip toes, kissed him, then walked into the kitchen to start dinner.
"Wow, you really know what you're doing don't you?" he said.
"If i didn't know what i was doing i wouldn't be in charge in a 7 year old" i mumbled searching around in the fridge and pulling out a red and green pepper.
"What are you making?" he asked. I slammed down the tomato in my hand and it squished.
"Food, Josh! geez, i slave over this hot kitchen stove all day and i go to school just so you can ask me what we're eating? how about you'll find out when you're eating it on your fork!" i snapped at him. He was frozen. I sighed.
"I'm sorry, i guess i am acting like my mom now" i sighed.
"Don't sweat it kid" he said heading into the living room.
"You aren't too bad" he said flopping onto the couch.
"Thanks" i sighed. Then he put his feet on the coffee table.
"Hey get your feet off the table, i just cleaned that" i snapped. And he laughed taking his feet down.
