When we got home we both decided to work on the shed that Josh promised we'd work on. By the look on his face i could tell he was sad about the whole Marilyn thing. I mean, Josh really loved Marilyn.
"Don't frown" i said. He only looked at me.
"Smile for me?" i said. He put on a huge smile
"There we go!" i laughed. Then i headed into my house.
"Hi mom, dad, Brook" i said walking straight up the stairs.
"Hi sweetheart, what'd you learn today?" i heard mom say.
"Clearly not enough, i gotta go back tomorrow" i called down to her. I changed into some cute overalls that had shorts instead of pants, i put my hair in a messy bun, and my shoes on then hurried down the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Brook asked standing at the foot of the stairs.
"None of your business, i'll see you in an hour" i said opening the door.
"But i wanna go!" She whined.
"I don't care, i didn't invite you so you're not coming" i said. Then i headed out the door but she held onto my leg.
"Brook stop!" i groaned shaking her off.
"I want to go!" she squealed.
"Come on now Brooklyn, me and your sister gotta go" Josh said. He was standing there the whole time.
"Josh!" she gasped. She ran to him and threw her small arms around him.
"Hey kid" he laughed.
"Look i'm on a time schedule so i gotta go" he said crouching to Brook's level and prying her off of him.
"Okay" she smiled.
"But i have a question" she said.
"Ask away" Josh said to her.
"Are you and my sister dating?" she asked. We both laughed.
"No, we're not dating" he snickered.
"But you hold hands sometimes" she said.
"Brooklyn, when you hold mom's hand to go across the street does that mean you're dating her?" I said. She shook her head.
"There you have it" Josh said. He stood up and smirked at me.
"Let's go, bye Brooklyn" Josh said.
"Bye!" she called. Then we left.
