22- a date to remember

Silver had prepared with Red for his date with Winter and now Winter was here for the date, "Your scales look quite shiny today, Silver." Winter said as he sat next to Silver, Silver then smiled and said, "Th-Thanks Winter, um... So what should we order?" Winter looked confused for a minute until Red walked out from behind the trees with a small scroll, a inked up feather and wearing a suit.

As Red walked over he said, "What can I get for the lovely couple?" Winter snickered a bit and said, "I'll take a goat and a couple berries." Silver then said, "I'll have the same." Red then said, "Ok and beverages?" Winter then said, "Cold tea please, unsweetened." Silver then said, "I'll have some juice."

Red nodded and wrote something down before quickly rushing off. Winter then said, "Wow, you definitely planned this out, did you have to bribe Red into doing that or did he want to?" Silver smiled and said, "Red actually planned this date for us, he was very insistent about wearing the suit, I'm not even sure where he got it exactly."

Winter laughed slightly and said, "Well good to know Red is such a good friend." Silver smiled and nodded, suddenly Red appeared carrying a plate with a wine glass and a tea cup on it. Red quickly put the tea in front of Winter and the juice in front of Silver, then he said, "There was a complication with your order but your drinks are done."

Red then quickly went left, Winter took a drink of his tea and said, "So, what do you think is going wrong?" Silver thought about what could be wrong, he remembered asking Red to cook whatever he ordered so perhaps their was a fire, Silver then said, "Oh... Um, probably having trouble cooking my order... I asked him to cook whatever I order..."

Winter then said, "Oh, hopefully it's not to much trouble." Red returned again, holding a bowl of berries and covered in ash and his suit slightly burnt, "Ok, so bad news, I can't serve you any meat, good news I have tons of berries." Red said quickly as he place the bowl in front of them, Red then quickly left again.

Silver and Winter shared a slight worried look before returning to their date, Silver and Winter began eating the berries.

(Timeskip, a hour later)

As Silver and Winter returned Silver noticed Red writing and Silver saw a scroll covered in spilled ink, "Red, what are you doing?" Silver asked as he saw Red, Red jumped in shock and took a deep breath, "Silver... I... I'm leaving Jade Mountain." Silver was shocked and said, "Wh-why?!"

Red was silent before saying, "I... I just feel like I need to explore the world..." Silver couldn't help but get a bit teary knowing he couldn't make Red stay, he simply hugged Red and said, "Well... I'll miss you, please don't be afraid to write." Red smiled and hugged him back.

Red then packed his stuff and began to leave, Winter and Silver said goodbye as Red flew off. Winter hugged Silver and said, "Don't worry about him, Silver, he'll be ok." Silver wiped away his tear and said, "I know... But he's my best friend and I'm gonna miss him." Winter nodded and said, "I know, if you need someone to talk to I'm here." Silver smiled and hugged Winter tighter.
