42- the dragonet

Red was concerned, he had a Dragonet he didn't know about and it was quite stressful to think about. They landed at Pantala, Frost right following closely, Red still wasn't sure what Frost was about, or exactly why she was helping them.

Fullmoon suddenly asked, "So, what does this Silkwing look like?" Red thought of her, "She was light green with sky blue wings and underbelly." Red answered, Fullmoon nodded and they all began asking around. Red usually got no good info or just no info until he bumped into a young red silkwing who said, "Oh, I know one! I can take you to her!"

The dragonet was bouncing with excitement, Red smiled and said, "Ok, would you be alright if I got my friends before we leave?" The dragonet shook her head and said, "No, I have to go now!" Red nodded understanding that the dragonet didn't want to stay out too late.

Red followed the dragonet to a small hidden cave after she grabbed a basket with a lid. The dragonet then quickly ran inside and was talking to someone before coming back out, "Ok, you can come in mister!" She said with a smile.

Red walked in and saw the dragoness, her eyes widened as she saw him, she both just looked at each other, the dragonet then said, "Mom, is something wrong." The dragoness nodded getting closer to Red, she then turned to her dragonet and said, "Crimson, dear, would you go to your room for a few?"

The dragonet, which apparently was named Crimson, nodded and scampered off. They both looked at each other, she then said, "I.... I'm sorry I didn't tell you... But why are you looking for me?" Red winced and said, "I... My friends were attacked by an animus from the future." She then smiled and said, "That's what I'd expect from you... But why come to me for this?"

Red swallowed and said, "Because... The dragon who did it was our granddragonet." She looked shocked and said, "Well... What do you want me to do? I'm not going to stop Crimson from having Dragonets in the future!" Red nodded and said, "I know but you can let me be a part of our dragonet's life."

She looked at Red grabbing his snout and saying, "Red... I would be honored to be together with yo-" Red stopped her, "We can't be together. Firstly, I never knew your name, secondly, I'm already dating someone I love." She let go of his snout and said, "My name is Moth. Red... If you want to take a Father's role in our dragonet's life I need to know, will this other dragoness accept Crimson?"

Red nodded, Moth smiled and said, "Good, i... I hope she loves you, I'll be here whenever you want to see Crimson... Or me." Red quickly left and went to find everyone to tell them he found them. Red glanced back at the cave, Moth was certainly a dragon Red could trust.
