I woke up the next day with a smile on my face. I was happy for some reason, which was odd since I hardly ever smiled.
"Alex, you up?" Dad said, knocking on my door.
"Yeah!" I called. I picked out an outfit for school before heading to the bathroom. The door was closed and I could hear Seth singing to a Paramore song.
I placed my ear against the cold door and laughed as Seth attempted to hit a perfect high note.
I banged my fist on the door and yelled for Seth to get out.
"Hold on," he said.
I sighed and played with my thick brown hair. I stared at a strand of it and scowled. I had split ends. I don't know why I was worried about my hair so much considering I never really cared how I looked, but if I was going on this little date with Michael I would need to look nice, right? I shuddered at the thought of me asking Erica to for help on the day of the festival date with Michael.
Seth opened the door still singing.
"Well finally!" I exclaimed. I covered my ears at the sound of Seth's voice. "Oh, God, please stop singing before my ears bleed!" I chuckled and Seth punched my arm.
"I'm only kidding, little bro." I ruffled his thick blonde hair and he squirmed. His voice actually wasn't that bad, better than how I sounded I could tell you that.
I walked inside the bathroom and performed my regular routine. Actually, it wasn't my normal routine because I stared at myself in the wide length mirror for the longest time. I wasn't really pretty in my opinion but for some reason guys always flirted with me.
I smiled at my tall, skinny reflection just as Seth walked in. He stared at me looking at myself and snickered.
"What the hell are you doing?" he said.
"Shut up," I snapped, shoving him.
He laughed again and I just rolled my eyes.
"Don't you look nice for the first day of your new school," I said, staring at him.
Seth was dressed in a leather jacket and thin black tie. He looked like a gentleman.
"Be quiet," Seth said, blushing. "I want to look nice for the ladies." Seth winked.
"Whatever." I walked out of the bathroom and ran to my room. I checked my phone and noticed I had received a text from Michael.
'Morning beautiful :)' It read.
I smiled to myself. 'Morning handsome ;)' I replied back.
'Whoa winky face I see ;)'
'Lol are you at school yet?'
'Yep I'm texting you in my physics class ;) I'm a badass'
'Yeah right. I'm getting ready for school'
I threw my phone on my bed and got dressed in black jeans, brown leather jacket, and brown boots. I looked fancy. My phone vibrated and I smiled knowing it was from Michael.
'Take a picture' He'd texted.
'Of what...? Lol.'
'Of you right now. I need a picture of you for my contacts unless you're fine with what I have now lol.'
'And what's that?'
'A cow haha'
'Hey! I'm not a cow ok. And I'll only send you a picture of me if you send one of you.' I replied.
