Why was this happening to me? Why did my mom do this to me and my dad? Hadn't I been through enough already? I cursed at myself for thinking all of this was my dad's fault when all he ever did was care for my mom.
I, on the other hand, had been the one to drive my mom away. My attitude, my poor grades, and my failed attempts at being her perfect princess led my mom to grow tired of her own family. So tired that she slept with my dad's best friend to start a new one.
Now I had to leave everyone I'd grown close to in Columbus, Ohio and move to Millard just five hours away. "A start of something new" my father called it.
As weeks past, I felt more alone than ever. Although, when I met Michael my life changed forever and I didn't know how it was ever going to be the same again.
