In shadows deep, where trust once bloomed,A tale of friendship now entombed.Betrayal's dagger, sharp and keen,Splits the bonds we once had seen.
Oh, dearest friend, where have you gone?In silence now, you stand withdrawn.Your eyes avert, your words evade,Leaving me in this cold charade.
Through fields of doubt, my heart does roam,In search of truths you won't condone. But whispers harsh, they paint the scene,Of secrets kept, of love unseen.
Yet still I yearn to hear your voice,To understand, to make a choice. But silence echoes, deafeningly clear,Leaving wounds too deep to bear.
Was it you who cast this bitter sting?Or shadows of doubt that my mind brings?Oh, how I ache to trust once more,To bridge the chasm that now we've tore.
But if you find the words to say,I'll listen close, come what may.For even in betrayal's bitter sting,Love's tender grace may yet take wing.
So let us brave this stormy sea,And seek the shore of empathy. For though the waves may crash and churn,In love's embrace, we both may learn.
