In Talia's penthouse Dom groggily sat at the island counter still tired from the previous night. His mother stood at the stove across from him finishing up breakfast when the coffee maker beeped.

"Gordon said curfews at 10, not 12 in the morning." She reprimanded pouring and sliding him a cup.

"How did you know I came in that late?" He swirled the cup a few times trying to get it to cool down before realizing something." Is there a camera in my room?"

Talia stopped what she was doing and turned to look her son in the eye, trying to get him to understand this was serious."Where were you Dom?"

The teen drunk a little of his coffee with half open eye lids and smacked a few times not amused by the act. It was nice she was at least showing she cared but it wasn't needed in this situation.

After dropping Billy off at home and making it back to the shipping yard, the crew Dom had with him were ordered to help finish loading the imports into the trailers for transport.

He on the other hand joined Black Manta back in his sub who was now sitting in the cockpit charting a course."He get the message?"

Dom smiled under his mask remembering how the scuffle ended and laughed weirdly." Yeah, but you're still not getting that shipment."

Manta paused for a second before turning his head catching the underlying tone being used." What?"

"I'm saying he's gonna have a hard time doing anything for the next few months." He added not wanting to come out right and say that Two-Face was more than likely in an ambulance at the moment.

A chuckle of his own escaped the villains lips as if trying to hold his laughter until he couldn't anymore." Two-Face never owed me a shipment kid. It was just an excuse to scout your crew after you asked for a
sponsorship."

"Oh." Dom responded dumbfounded by the information. It settled in as he realized the whole altercation was basically for nothing before shrugging it off. Something good still came in the end right?

Black Manta finished up the task and spun in his chair to fully face his new prospect propping a foot on his knee. "So why didn't you ask that fat bird to be your sponsor? We barely know each other."

Most would assume that's who the teen would ask, but in his opinions he'd already asked his uncle for enough. Not only did he gift him a list of villains that ran the Gotham districts, but also a district of his very own. Though technically he had paid for it.

But the biggest problem he currently had with the Penguin at the moment was how every time they'd have a conversation somehow the topic of Dom becoming a regular civilian always came back up.

"My uncle has a habit of trying to put me on a leash. I need someone who won't." He eventually answered trying not give too much of his future plans away.

I don't give a shit what you do. Just help me kill Aquaman when ask." Black manta stood and shook hands with him sealing the agreement.
