The Sionis Club
Burnside
8PMThough still early in the night, The Sionis club was in full swing. Rhythmic pulses of music vibrated throughout the establishment as guest drunk and danced to their hearts content. Beneath the dim lighting the elite of Gotham mingled with each other on the floor under the blaring of loud music and in a one of the private room located towards the back, Black Mask sat.
This particular room was his personal one, situated on a room above the DJ booth with a glass wall that allowed him to overlook the entirety of his club. Surrounded by a couple of minons standing guard, he rested on a wrap around couch with models on both sides of him discussing business with a partner of his. As they continued to talk, the shadows of the room began to suddenly deepen immediately causing them to pause their conversation.
From a dark corner near the entrance smoke began to leak into the room until a tall, 6 foot warrior stepped from the shadows dressed in black assassin-like robes that seemed to ooze darkness. Two katanas were strapped to its back and a long hood and half mask concealed its face, leaving on it glowing purple eyes visible.
The few minions standing guard immediately drew pistols and other firearms of the sort ready to take out the threat before their boss held up his hand signaling them to stop." Calm down. I'm sure it's here on business."
Remembering the Legion from his dealing with King Daruma, Black Mask stood and walked behind the couch before stopping and leaning against the back of it. Noticing a black box in its hand, he held his own out expectingly while looking the warrior in its eyes." You gonna hand it over or not?"
With inaudible steps even in the silent room, it made its way over to the villain and carefully placed the box in his hand. Taking a final step backwards, the legions form began dissolve in tendrils of dark smoke. And when it disappeared entirely a faint wisp was left slowly moving throughout the room, as if it were never there to begin with.
While everyone else in that witnessed took in the scene trying to make sense of it, Black Mask opened the box. Inside were the skin cutout of bloodied lips with a bit of makeup on it along with a folded note.
'My uncle once told me respect was all we had in our business. Hatter had a habit of running his mouth. I made sure he couldn't'
As the villain read the note out loud small smirk made its way onto his lips before a sudden scream sounded off in the room from one of the models behind him. She'd gotten curious and looked to see the gift, only to wish she hadn't.
Chinatown
9:30PMOn the observation deck inside the garage, Dom and Billy were lounging around on their respective couches. The T.V was playing a cartoon being watched by the former, while the latter sat loading a gun mag with the little bullets he had left.
The last two days were uneventful for the duo, especially since Blackfire seemed to have put a pause on annoying them at school. With the Legion he'd planted acting as a tracker, he was able to avoid her in the halls and during lunch. Making Jordon miss a few days probably helped too.
All in all, it was a huge step in the right direction giving both time to focus on more important matters that need their attention. They'd spent Thursday at the garage to get the food trucks ready for use. On Friday, they put the assassins to work in each of the targeted districts.
Of course it was still too early to get a good logistic on each truck, but judging from the looks some of the customers had when driving by, they'd be around the targeted area. Madam Liu had also went straight to work, holding 'interviews' looking for potential staff to man her new restaurants.
