»What?!«, Yeseul asked shocked. Her heart skipped a beat. Her mind was running. What was going on?

»There are people attacking Yeowool!«, Hanseong explained again and took a deep breath, »Please help!«

She tried to think about what to do and ran into the storage. In there she went into a separate room. Quickly she grabbed her bow and some arrows. For a moment she contemplated whether or not she should take her father's sword and decided to just take it with her. She ran back outside and followed Hanseong, who took the lead.

Yeseul didn't know what was happening. Why did someone attack Yeowool? What was going on? Was he in great danger? Was he already injured? Or worse? Her heart beat faster the longer they ran.

From afar she already saw the handsome Hwarang fight against four men dressed in black. A fifth and a sixth one already lay on the ground. One of them seemed only wounded the other unconscious. Yeowool must've gotten a sword from one of them as he fought the other four with a sword. Yeseul threw her father's sword to Hanseong, who caught it and ran to help his friend and colleague.

Yeseul stopped a little further away and aimed at the fighting ones. She tried to make sure that neither Yeowool nor Hanseong were in the trajectory of the arrow before shooting. She hit one of the assassins in the leg which made him look back angrily. Yeseul aimed another arrow and shot it at another assassin but missed. Her arms were shacking. She tried again and hit him in the shoulder. The two Hwarang fought against them but after the assassins noticed that they weren't fighting only Yeowool anymore they withdrew, leaving the battleground after a short while. They took their companions with them.

After taking a deep breath Yeseul ran towards the two Hwarang. She first got to Yeowool.

»Are you alright?«, she asked concerned putting her hands on his arms mustering him up and down.

»Yes.«

»But you didn't have any weapon when they attacked.«

»I was always good at dodging«, he explained cheekily trying to calm her down, »Are you alright?«

»Yes«, she answered. Then he looked over to Hanseong. Yeseul followed his look. »Hanseong!« The young Hwarang sat on the floor leaning against the wall of a house. Quickly they went over to him.

»Are you alright?«, Yeowool asked his fellow Hwarang.

»Yes. My foot just hurts a little«, he explained, »Maybe I just missed a step or something. But it's alright«

Yeseul and Yeowool helped him up.

»Who were they?«, she asked.

»I don't know. I don't know them«, Yeowool answered.

»Me neither«, Hanseong added.

»What did they want from you?«

»They didn't tell me, even though I asked«

Yeseul couldn't think of any reason as to why a group of assassins would randomly attack a Hwarang. It must've been planned. But by who and why?

»Where will you stay tonight?«, she asked next.

»At my grandfathers«, Hanseong answered.

»At my mother's residence. There are guards«, Yeowool assured them.

»Let's meet tomorrow noon again«, Yeseul suggested and the two Hwarang agreed. She wanted to talk with them about what happened. She just didn't understand this situation. She just couldn't collect her thoughts so meeting the next day again seemed the best solution.
