Yoon's POV:

The weather is cloudy, after a heavy rainstorm passed through last night. And I'm standing in a quiet place on campus waiting for Sehun to arrive.

"Yoon", I heard his voice.

Around me, I can feel the discreet presence of eyes, watching over me, disguised as college students scattered throughout the area.

I guess it's the inevitable price of being a Mafia's wife, a reality I've come to accept, albeit begrudgingly.

But there are other eyes that I know well, staring at me from afar inside the car parked in the parking lot opposite where I'm standing from a distance.

"I hope I'm not too late", Sehun said sweetly after giving me his sweetest smile.

He is wearing a brown formal suit with a coat over it, his hair is neat and reveals his forehead with complete elegance, which means that he is actually heading to the company and is not here to study.

"No, I just arrived", I answered quietly.

"I hope you're fine... and I apologize for bothering you", his voice carries a tinge of genuine sadness, adding weight to his words.

It piques my curiosity even further, intensifying my anticipation as I wait to hear what he has to say.

I shook my head in complete denial, "it's okay, Sehun... I hope everything is fine with you too".

He lowered his head slightly to the wet ground, swallowing his saliva with apparent heaviness, then he raised his head again only seconds later.

"I'm leaving college, Yoon", he immediately got to the point.

Because I was very curious, I quickly asked him, "huh?... but why?... we will graduate in only four months... why this sudden decision?".

Despite his attempt at a smile, his underlying sadness remains there in his face, "I'll be stepping up to lead the company as the official heir soon".

I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

"It's an emergency measure until I fulfill my duties, after which the administration members will vote and hopefully approve of my leadership as the new CEO", he added.

From the little I know about this matter, I thought he didn'tt want the path that his father built, but rather he wanted to follow his own paths in his private life away from the camera lights that would dominate him once he became the CEO of his father's prestigious company.

"Is there a reason or have you thought deeply about joining finally?", I was cautious in my question.

"It wasn't an option, unfortunately", he said sadly, his eyes already sparkling.

But I didn't reply this time speak, I left him room to breathe and then reveal, because it's clear that this is the reason why he wanted to meet me quickly, so that he could reveal.
