Yuta's POV:

The sound of the door handle trying to twist the door open and the voices of some bullies outside bring me back to reality as Taeyong stops what he was doing too. What the hell is going on? The banging on the door continues but the boy in front of me doesn't flinch. He's still holding onto me, his face close, too close, everything but the awkwardness growing quickly remains unchanging. Even Taeyong looks surprised, opening his mouth to say something even tho nothing comes out.
?: "YO WHO THE FUCK-?"
I can't take the tension and push him away before unlocking the door and storming out, hiding my face in my hands as I lock myself inside a bathroom stall, trying to calm myself down and elaborate on what the fuck just happened. We just... Kissed and more, I... God what in the world is going on in that idiot's head?
I close my eyes, collecting my thoughts, before hearing someone get into the bathroom
Mark: "Yuta? Are you here? I saw you running a few seconds ago"
I open the stall and drag him inside with me before locking the door again. Mark has been my friend basically since I met Jihyo, since they're cousins it was pretty common for him to come over to her house a few times a week. Considering that I can't count on Jihyo for everything, Mark has been my 'male' referrer for all those boy things that girls don't get nor need to know.
Yuta: "Something fucking insane just happened I need a few minutes"
Mark giggles and looks at my face closely.
Mark: "Dude, you're blushing, what did you do?" a smirk makes its way on his face and I can feel the heat on my cheeks grow back.
Yuta: "You wouldn't believe me if I told you, plus I don't know either" I look down as the scene flashes back into my mind.
Mark: "Really, dude?"
I turn around and open the stall
Yuta: "Listen I'm too awkward now, I can't do this"
He hums and we go together to the bus stop, trying to make some jokes to get that scene off my mind and it worked for a while. For a while. As soon as I got home and locked myself in my room, those images started haunting me again, the blush creeping back on my cheeks as I buried my face in the pillow letting out a frustrated groan.
Why does this Taeyong have to be so impactful on me? Why in the world did he do that? Giving up on trying to get him off my mind, I change and get under the covers before falling asleep.
~ the next day ~
Of course, I must start having trouble at 8 am with that fucker Taeil stealing my school bag, which leads me to run after him for the whole school trying to get it back and failing in the task. Now I'm chasing the boy up the stairway of the rooftop, out of breath and struggling to keep up with him who's already out
Yuta: "Oh come on, just give it back!-"
Suddenly he trips and falls on the ground, dropping my bag, and someone kicks his back to roll him around, his angry expression shifting into a scared one as he stands up and storms past me, heading back to school.
Yuta: "The fu..." I turn around to face the person who kicked him and my body tense up. Taeyong.
Yuta: "You..."
He picks up my bag and pushed it against my chest before walking past me, not glaring at me once. Did he just, help me?
I wake up from my state of trance and decide to run after him.
Yuta: "wait Taeyong! Wait for me!"
I uselessly try to call out for him, but he seems to disappear in the crowd of students. He had just dyed his hair fluo green, how the heck is he able to disappear like that?
After realizing I lost him, I see a friend of his talking to a girl, I think Jaehyun is his name. Maybe he knows where he's heading to. I walk towards him, hoping the hate Taeyong has (... had? You get what I mean) towards me isn't the same for him.
Yuta: "Hey..." I shyly wave at him while he softly smiles at me "I don't mean to bother but, do you know where Taeyong is?"
He laughs and says something I can't decipher to the girl before putting an arm around my shoulders and starting to walk
Jaehyun: "not really, but I know where you might find him" I smile back at him and let the boy lead me across the corridors, until we go to the school's garden, near an old tree.
A pair of feet showing from behind it, a blanket on baggy ripped jeans and a slight hint of green is visible.
Jaehyung: "Bingo" Jaehyun taps my back and turns around, waving goodbye as I do the same. How does someone as kind as him become friends with... that?
I slowly walk near him, careful not to make noise as he peacefully sleeps under the shadow of the tree, his head rested on his schoolbag, a soft blanket barely covering half of his body, a pair of earphones connected to an old iPod, the music so loud it can be heard outside.
I can't help but smile at the sight. How come he's always so grumpy and annoying? If I didn't know him, I'd say he looks like the kindest person on earth.
I sit down next to him, thinking about what I should do next. I can't wake him up, it's out of discussion, he would get mad at me- but he might get mad at me anyway because I followed him here... I mean, technically Jaehyun was the one who brought me to him, so he should get mad at him, not me.
My gaze falls on his sleeping face, and I can't help but get lost while looking at him. The soft wind moving his hair, which falls on his face, while he seems totally unbothered and lost in his dreams.
My hands involuntarily moves to push them off, slowly, careful not to wake him, but I immediately flinch and snap my hand back as he suddenly wakes up.
Taeyong: "Yuta?"
