third person's POV:
When people get curious or are unsure about something, it is only human to dig into said curiosity. Some of them leaves said investigation once they feel themselves conflicted or against what they're uncovering; on the other hand, some tend to dive into it because of the same reason. These people want to prove to themselves that what they're facing is fake. These are the sides Yuta and Taeyong are taking. The first wants to forget about the happenings, he's denying what he feels, the second uses his boldness to break the barriers the other is forming. Taeyong's feelings are not deep, thought. After all, he's just messing with the red head. Who could even think someone like him would get with a dude? No one. He only does this for fun. He is having so much fun right now. The boy in front of him getting all flustered, his eyes slowly shutting, Taeyong can feel him shiver. I move closer to his lips. They're trembling too. But he has stopped fighting against what's happening. Pathetic. So pathetic Taeyong can't hold back a chuckle. He receives a confused look from the other, who, when he sees that idiot's grin, changes his expression to an angry one.
Taeyong: "Hahaha, don't tell me you actually thought I was gonna kiss you?"
No, that's not only anger. It's disappointment Taeyong sees in Yuta's eyes. It it hits him almost as hard as the punch the red-haired boy lands on his cheek.
Yuta: "fuck you, Taeyong"
Ouch. He felt that one too. Looking at the other boy leaving while holding his cheek with his hand, unable to move. "Why does he have to make things so difficult?" he asked to himself, standing there like a statue. For some reason, he was not mad, at least not at Yuta. He was mad at himself, or maybe mad in general.
Yet again, as we come to the confusion there a two paths a human can take, and Taeyong refused to stop in his tracks only because of an obstacle, heading towards his limousine while thinking of a way to get back at him.
Yuta, on the other hand, is more furious than ever.
Yuta: "You... fucking... idiot!"
A pause between each punch at Mark's punching back. How could he have not gone to his best friend after everything that happened? He let put the first part, why not spill the whole thing. Yeah, he said it all, and Mark was almost as mad as he was.
Mark: "you have to get back at him, Yuta"
The read head, turns around to face his friend, panting because of how hard the frustration and the anger he has built up inside made him punch the poor bag, old and dusty, many scratches that are either from Yuta's jabs or Mark's cat, the chain holding it rusty, it might fall at any moment.
Yuta: "what are you talking about?"
Mark stands up and Yuta could swear he had never seen his friend so serious before.
Mark: "I mean that it's payback time"
He grabs his phone from him pocket, Yuta sitting down on the floor of the small home-made gym, trying to calm himself down, glaring over at the blonde curious as he sees him digiting someone's number and holding the phone up to his ear.
Mark: "Hey man, I wanted to ask you something"
Yuta couldn't head what was happening on the other side of the phone, but it was certain that whoever that was, he was having a fucking party.
Mark: "Mind if I bring someone along tomorrow?" Mark glares at Yuta, who doesn't change the expression on his face.
With a few thanks and a few byes, Mark hangs up and gives Yuta the most evil and mischievous grin a human being could make.
Yuta: "I don't have a choice, do I?"
Mark shakes his head and Yuta stands back up.
Yuta: "fucking great" he lands more punches on the poor bag while his friend goes hugging him from behind.
Mark: "oh come on, it will be fun!"
Yuta just rolls his eyes, knowing nothing will stop his friend until he gets what he wants. The loud music and the smell of drunk people are not something Yuta is used to. Surely, he's been at parties before, but Jaehyun is a rich kid, a birthday being celebrated at a huge mansion clearly isn't what he's used to.
He's trying to stick to his friend's side as much as possible, but it's hard. Mark is everyone's friend, and it didn't take long for him to disappear in the crowd, which now leads Yuta to be all alone.
No way he'll join the mass, he's not in the mood and even if he was, he wouldn't dance without his friends. Instead, he just lays against a wall, in hand what has to be the sixth cup of alcohol he's had tonight, looking at people playing, dancing, making out everywhere, some boys fighting near the kitchen, a girl found out her best friend slept with his boyfriend and she's crying in the bathroom right next to where he's now standing.
His dizzy mind collecting the situations around him, until his eyes dart on the person he wanted to see less: Taeyong. Yuta's serious expression turns into an angry one, the cup of his drink being squished in his clenched fist. Taeyong is dancing, his movements are perfect, he's not even trying. His arm wrapped around a girl's shoulders, his face leaning closer to her ear, action which gives Yuta a flashback of what happened today, and all the other times. The girl is so pretty, perfect body, blushing while biting her lower lip softly, clinging closer to the boy hitting on her.
Yuta doesn't know what he's feeling, but it hurts and angers him at the same time. He wants to go there and separate them. The job being done for him as the apparent boyfriend of said girl shows up. "Not good" the redhead thinks, Taeyong beats up people as sober, lord knows what he could do while drunk. As he suspected, he landed a hit on the boyfriend, knocking him out cold before leaving both him and the girl there with no explanation. Maybe because if curiosity, maybe out of anger, whatever the reason might be, Yuta followed him. He followed him all the way to the back of the house, no people there, just a lonely pool, Taeyong sitting on the edge with his pants rolled up.
Yuta takes a deep breath. He has to snap at him, show him he can't just go around and do whatever the fuck he wants, and with a gulp that almost hurt, he speaks up.
Yuta: "Taeyong"
The other boy doesn't flinch, he simply hums not even turning around. Fuck he's wasted. Yuta can tell from the tone of his voice, ragged and raspy.
Yuta: "quit playing around with people"
He takes a step closer, receiving a glare from the boy sitting in front of him.
Taeyong: "who are you to tell me what to do?"
Yuta: "I'm sick of you messing around"
The confidence slowly finding its way in the red-haired boy, the alcohol probably helping too as he let's out his thought shamelessly.
Yuta: "You think you can just kiss someone then do all that teasing to make fun of people?"
Taeyong stands up and Yuta freezes as he's met with the other's gaze. It's unreadable.
Taeyong himself doesn't know why he keeps doing that either, how is he supposed to answer that question?
Taeyong: "why? You like it? You're gay?"
That came out more aggressive than he intended, and it took a lot of control on Yuta's behalf to hold himself for punching him in the face.
Yuta: "I'm not"
Taeyong lets out a laugh, but it sounded... weak? forced? Yuta can't really decipher the tone, but it sure as hell didn't sound real. He walks closer to the red-head, the smile fading away, his tired expression showing more.
Taeyong: "listen, I don't give a fuck, ok? I did all that for fun, FUN, that's all"
Taeyong walks past the other boy, bumping into his shoulder unpurposely because of the dizziness caused him by the alcohol.
.Yuta grabs his arm and spins him around, the two of them dangerously close, he can barely focus.
Yuta: "that's not something you do for fun-"
Taeyong: "what are you, my mother?!"
Taeyong snatches his arm back and Yuta can't help but flinch as the boy in front of his yells.
Yuta: "don't yell at me when you're in the wrong"
He can't understand himself how he's so collected, but the boy in front of him is giving him a stare he's never seen on anyone's face before. He can feel the frustration, the confusion, all mixed up with anger. The gaze
almost piercing, Yuta would say he's scared, but he doesn't budge. He stares back, and Taeyong, even with the mess inside his head, can see the reassurance the redhead is transmitting. He was about to say something, but a scream coming from the other side of the house breaks the thick tendion between them....
