*Third person's POV*

Shubman held Ishan close, his heart heavy with a love he couldn't fully express and a pain he couldn't erase. He understood the silent plea, the years of hurt echoing in Ishan's choked sobs.

"You're safe now, Ishu.." Shubman whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I won't let anyone hurt you again."

His words, a promise laced with tenderness, seemed to break the dam within Ishan. The tears streamed down his face, a release of years of suppressed pain. Shubman held him gently, a silent pillar of comfort in the storm of Ishan's emotions.

As the sobs subsided, a fragile quiet descended upon them. Ishan nestled closer, seeking solace in Shubman's warmth. In that moment, surrounded by the quiet understanding, Ishan felt a flicker of hope, a fragile ember buried beneath the ashes of his past.

Ishan clung to Shubman, the familiar warmth seeping into his chilled core. It was a stark contrast to the cold isolation he had built around himself for so long. He flinched at the memory of his past, the voice in his head whispering its usual curses.

But here, in Shubman's embrace, the voice seemed muted, its power diminished. He felt a strange sense of security, a vulnerability he hadn't allowed himself to experience in so long. Tears welled up again, a torrent of emotions he couldn't hold back any longer.

He squeezed his eyes shut, willing the voice to be silent, to let go of the negativity that had become his constant companion. With each shaky breath, a flake of hope flickered within him, a fragile feeling blossoming in the space the voice once occupied. TRUST.

The road to healing would be long and arduous, but for the first time, Ishan wasn't alone. He had found a safe harbor in Shubman's love, a chance to face his demons and rebuild his trust.

...

Shubman then wrapped the bandage around Ishan's forehead.
"There, Ishu, it doesn't hurt alot, right?"
"No, it doesn't"
"C'mon now, let's have lunch together. "
"Carry"

Shubman smiled, looking at his Ishan wanting to be carried by Shubman. He felt on top of the world to be the one to have Ishan next to him, to protect him.
He carefully picked Ishan up, and took him outside into the liing room.

"What have you made?"
"My favourite vegetable rice... It has the perfect amount of nutrition your small, little body needs" He said, booping Ishan's nose.

"I'm not small and little, I'm manly, Shubman"
"Of course you are, Darling"

Hearing the name, Ishan's eyebrows rose in question.
"I didn't - I mean- I w-"  looking at Shubman stuttering so much, Ishan couldn't help but laugh.
Shubman stopped speaking and smiled too.
"It's alright, darling"  Ishan said, teasing Shubman.
The elder one huffed and served the food into their plates.

"Shubman, this smells delicious"
"It's for you, Ishu, have it"
"Okay, Darling"  Ishan said again, emhasizing the word Darling and smirking at Shubman.
"Stop!" Shubman said, blushing lightly.

They shared a laugh and finished their portions.
"Do you want to go out somewhere?"
"You have a place in mind?"
"I do, actually..."
"Alright then!"
-----

Shubman allowed Ishan to choose from his clothes, while he himself wore one of his suits.
Shubman was dressed in a lilac suit, while Ishan wore a black tee, an unbuttoned full shirt, rolling up the sleeves, with a black jeans.

Entering the room, again, Shubman saw Ishan dressed up in his clothes, and he could swear he just pictured more than a thousand unholy thoughts. He blinked after what seemed like 10 minutes of just staring and Ishan stepped closer to him.
