Ch.7

*Shubman's POV*

I entered our room, holding 2 mugs of coffee. I looked at Ishan, who was still sleeping. His lips were slightly parted, his fists clenching the duvet, his hair a little messed and eyes closed, enhancing his eyelashes more. I placed the mugs on the night stand and silently clicked a picture of him, setting it as my wallpaper.

He looked so cozy and peaceful sleeping in my bed that I just wanted to cuddle him forever and never let go. I sat on the other side of the bed, stroking his hair gently. I didn't know how to wake him up, but I tried to.

"Hey Darling.."
"hm.."
"It's me, your Shubi... time to wake up"
"5 Minutes more, please"

How am I supposed to say no to him???
"Five minutes are over" I lied, counting 5 mere seconds.
"Okay okay, fine" He said, pulling the covers over his head.
"Don't take my beloved away from me, Darling" I said in a fake tone.
"I'm right here, Shubi.."
"I'm not gonna play peek-a-boo with you, Ishu"
"Aw, man! " Ishan said and laughed, finally getting up.

"How are you today, Sunshine?"
"I'm happy, Shubi. I'm happy because of you"

My heart felt warm from inside and I smiled at him. I cupped his right cheek with my hand and stroked his soft skin with my thumb, lightly.

His eyes shifted from a dilated look to a more relaxed one in mere seconds.
"So, Ishan, I've thought of a challenge for today."
"And that is?"
"A cooking challenge!.. we are going to make Pancakes!"
"And who'll be the judge?"
"Virat bhai and Anushka bhabhi"
"But then they'll favor you, not fair" he said pouting
"We'll make it blind judging then"
"Sounds great! I'm in, Shubman. Prepare to lose."

Entering the kitchen, I took out all the necessary ingredients and kept them on the counter.
I carefully took out some flour, enough for both of us and kept it in a seperate container.
"Here's the milk"
"Sugar?"
"Yes, Darling?" I laughed.
"You- Cheeky bastard." He said, eyerolling.
I flashed him a toothy smile, showing my dimples and passed him the sugar container.

We then added everything into our bowls, the black kitchen counter covered in flour as if it was snowing. A few drops of milk spilt around and faint humming of a song that I could recognise by Ishan.

I started to hum along with him, making him look at me as he mixed the ingredients. The whisker in his hand shifting from inside the bowl, over to his shirt, making me laugh softly.
"Aw darling, you've got your shirt spoiled."
"Ew.. I can't stay in this one"
"Here, take mine then. It's cleaner."
"I'm accepting this right now because I need it or I woul have commented on your attempts to wander around shirtless, Mr.Gill"
"Guilty" I said, chuckling at his sass.

We continued our mixing and I looked over at Ishan with a side eye. His focused face, tongue poking out, eyebrows a little furrowed and his beautiful hands holding the bowl firmly. His fingers were beautiful, as if god had chosen him to be his favourite. But they had something missing. A ring.

"Well, well. Looks like you aren't the veteran you keep talking about" He said sarcastically.
"Wha-" Before I could even finish speaking, his finger contacted my torso, licking up the spot of the batter and sending it direvtly to his lips.
My mouth gaped at his boldness, ears red with the amount of blood rushing through me.

"I fear mine tastes better, Darling"

I was still in a shock, not being able to process whatever just happened.
"What just happened"
"You want a replay, honey?"

I didn't respond, just staring at him with wide eyes as he smudged more batter on me and then licked it again with his fingers.

He then inched closer to my sinking body, his lips ghosting over mine. We were so close to kiss. I gulped, my eyes fixed on his lips. He licked his, and I bit mine.
He then moved closer, and closer and closer. My eyes closed automatically, waiting for his lips to meet mine.
He was so close to me that I could feel him breathing directly on my lips and I was sure he could hear my heart neating at lightspeed.
