Chapter 11

I was walking into my room and looked into the wardrobe.

There is literally nothing to dress up.

Besides, can somebody please tell me why the hell we have to dress up for freaking dinner?

It's not like the queen is visiting or anything. Yea okay, you're rich but you don't have to act like some - -

There was a knock on the door.

"Lily are you ready?" Someone asked me.

If I'm ready? I didn't even change since we came back.

"Umm.. ya know I need a little more time, maybe" I shouted so he could hear me through the door.

Okay okay no panic.

I'm just gonna take this flower skirt and this white tshirt.

And no, the skirt isn't mine. Riley gave it to me when I lived with her. I forgot to give it back to her.

I changed and put my hair in a ponytail.

I looked one last time in the mirror before walking outside.

Bradley was standing there in a blue green shirt and some beige pants.

"You look beautiful" he said.

Dude I'm just wearing a skirt with a tshirt and a ponytail.

"oh um thank you"

We walked downstairs and went left then.

Everybody was sitting already.

"Sorry, we're a bit late." Bradley said.

Holland nodded and looked at me.

"Wow lily, you look great"

I just smiled at her and reached for the chair to sit but bradley stopped me.

I looked at him confused till he pushed the chair away from the table, waiting for me to sit down.

Wow that's just like in one of those clichè romantic movies.

Someone was staring at me. A man, a bit older than holland. He had brown hair and grey eyes and a beard.
I guess that's Mr Thomsen.

"Excuse me darling, so you are lily?" He smiled at me.

I nodded "yea.."

I kinda feel bad that I have to lie about my name..

"It's nice meeting you." he said.

"You too. So you're Mr Thomsen?"

"That's right. But you can call me Dave." He smiled.

I smiled back and a lady came with dinner.

Bradley and I were walking upstairs again.

The meal was so good to be honest. So much better than the stuff that I always ate for dinner. I either ate a sandwich or an apple.

"Thank you." I said as we reached my door.

"For what?" He asked.

"The meal was great and I'm thankful to be here"

"Of course" He said and smiled at me.

He went closer to me and we hugged each other.

We pulled apart after a while "good night lily, sweet dreams"

I smiled "good night"

He just laughed and went into his room.

I woke up to the sound of the birds and the sun shining through my window.

It's so beautiful here. It's hard to believe that this isn't a dream.

Ya know what I've been thinking about lately? Lucas..

It's so weird. Like he is rich too but his family isn't really showing it like the Thomsen's.

They have a normal house and they don't dress up for dinner and everything. Well, as long as I know.

These two families are so different yet they're smiliar.

I jumped out of the bed and went into the bathroom.

I put my hair into a bun. Brushed my teeth and washed my face.

I put on some concealer, lipbalm and mascara.

I changed into some blue shorts and a black baggy tshirt with a bird on it.

I walked outside of my room and heared two people arguing.

I looked down from the stairs and it was holland with bradley.

"But mom- - "

"No!"

"That's not fair!"

"Oh that's not fair? Bradley are you serious right now?"

Oh gosh. This won't end well..

I walked downstairs "umm morning"

They turned their heads to me.

"Oh hello honey. How did you sleep?" Holland asked me.

"Great, thank you" I said.

Bradley just waved at me with a half smile.

Wow, you can actually feel the awkwardness right now.
