Duck Hunting

"Emily and Harry were the ones that found Mary's body off a trail." Sunny tells us as she leads me, Beau and Jenny to the rec tent where Mary's body was covered in a sheet. "Did anybody search the area where the body was found?" Beau asked. "Well, after Buck brought Mary's body back, he and Avery went back up to take a look around." Sunny said.

"Daddy?!" Emily's voice cries, shakily, and we turn to see her as she runs towards Beau. "Hey. Come here." Beau said and she runs into his arms and they hug. "I got you. I got you." Beau whispers as she cries then I hear running footsteps behind me and I turn just in time to see Harry running towards me and wraps his arms around me.

"Hey, kiddo." I said to him, softly, as he buries face into me and I give him a comforting hug. "It's okay, buddy. It's okay." I whisper to him, comforting. "You okay? Hmm?" I asked him as he pulls back from the embrace, looks up at me and nods, not saying a word.

"You okay?" Beau asked Emily as they pull from the embrace and she nods. "What happened, kids?" I asked them as I look between Emily and Harry. "We followed Luke into the woods and we got lost." Harry mutters, almost like he was scared to say something. "And then we saw her. She was bleeding. I don't know. She had Paige's bag. We just thought that she was hurt, but then I saw her eyes." Emily adds, her voice shaking with tears.

"Okay. Baby." Beau said to her, softly, and they hug again as Emily sobs. "I got you." Beau whispers to her and I look down at Harry, who had tears running down his face. "I wanna go home." He cries and I give him a sympathetic look. "Where's your father?" I asked him and Harry points off to the side. "With the other campers." He mumbles then he hugs me again.

"Tell me about Luke and Paige." Jenny asked Sunny and I look over at them, still hugging Harry. "Well, they were guests. Uh, Paige left early. She went home. And then there was a little something-something going on between Luke and Mary after that." Sunny said as Buck stands next to her.

"Luke said that he was leaving. He was really scared about something." Emily said as she pulls from the hug with her father. "Emily's right. We can't find Luke." Sunny said, shaking her head

"Excuse us. Come here." Beau said to Emily as he pulls her to his side then he looks over at me and gestures for me to follow him. I look down at Harry and I place my hands on his shoulder. "Harry..." I said and he pulls back from the hug and looks up at me. "Sheriff Arlen is gonna want to talk to you and Emily about this, okay?" I said and Harry looked terrified.

"Hey, it won't take too long and I'll be right there with you, your dad can be there as well." I tell him and that seemed to calm him down a bit then he nods. "Okay..." I said then I see Dakota coming over to us. I take Harry's hand and I gesture for Dakota to follow us.

"We're gonna need to gather everybody and get statements." I hear Jenny tell Sunny. "Okay. We'll let the staff know." Sunny replied as we walk away and towards Beau and Emily as Carla and Avery come up to Beau. "You're okay." Beau assures Emily as she breathes shakily.

"Em." Carla said and Emily runs to her and hugs her. "Hey." Beau said. "We're so glad you're here." Emily said to Beau, who looks over at Avery. "Avery, Sunny said that you went out looking after the body was found. What for?" Beau asked him as Dakota comes up to me and Harry as we stand next to Beau and Dakota stands by Carla. "Yeah, uh, Buck wanted to find Luke, so..." Avery replied.

"You think Luke could have done this?" Carla asked, worried. "I don't know. I don't know. There's...There's a lot to process." Beau said as Harry goes to Dakota and hugs him. "You okay?" I asked Dakota. "Could be better." Dakota mutters before he sighs.

"Where was Buck when you two found Mary?" Beau asked as he looks between Emily and Harry. "We actually don't know." Harry replied. "Yeah, he must've have heard us scream. Before we knew it, he was just there." Emily said. "Okay." Beau mutters, nodding.
