[the movie starts with our main character, frank/Freya Fahrenheit in a bar]
FRANK: finally, I've lost their tracks for good
[drinks]
FRANK:Though, to be fair, getting out was much easier than I thought. [smirk]
FRANK:Their collective iq [thinks] is probably lower than fifty, heh
[finishes drink]
FRANK:What a bunch of jerk-offs. [senses someone is looking at them] huh?
[turns round to see a woman/ man dressed in a neon suit, chewing gum]
FRANK [IN MIND]:Who's staring?... a woman/man? Their outfit is sooo coool And there- well don't keep staring idiot! [turns back to look at bar]
FRANK:hey bud! Can I get another?
ZERO: sure thing! A highball,right?
FRANK: yeah. Less Ice though please.
[people enter]
ZERO: right on it. [pause] you seem new around here. Visiting someone?
FRANK: nah, just business.
LOAN SHARK 1: really? In this town? Why don't you tell him what you're really here for, Frank?
[frank has a nervous expression on their face]
FRANK: what? Ha, I don't know any-
LOAN SHARK 2: quit playing dumb!
LOAN SHARK 1: silvers gonna be so happy to see you back!
ZERO: here you go,and let me know if you need any...help.
FRANK: pfft, don't worry, I've messed them up before so-
[a loan shark hits their back]
FRANK: aaagh owww
LOAN SHARK 2: how about we take this outside so you don't burn the bar down hmm?
[the loan sharks pull them towards the exit]
FRANK: cmon guys! You know I'll win! Or we could talk this out-hey! [pulled out of the bar.
[we see the girl from earlier look at the door with a bemused expression on their face, still chewing gum]
[outside]
LOAN SHARK 1: didn't think you had the balls to run from us!
FRANK: at least I have a pair..wait never mind.
LOAN SHARK 1: your attempt at being funny is not good. Like literally no one is laughing.
LOAN SHARKS: [laughing] [sees loan shark one looking angry and stops] yep definite not funny.
[Frank uses fire to burn LOAN SHARK 1]
LOAN SHARK 2:boss? [gets gun] you'll pay for this! [starts shooting]
[frank looks scared and starts running]
LOAN SHARK 1: we need him alive idiot! [holds gun back and shooter stops shooting]
[fence]
FRANK: [to himself] that way! They won't make it over the fence!
[Frank running to fence]
LOAN SHARK 1: He's getting away!
[Frank starts climbing]
LOAN SHARK 2: I got him! [hands extend]
[Frank uses powers to burn his hands]
[loan shark let's go and Frank gets over]
FRANK: huh. Guess you really can't teach old dogs new tricks!
LOAN SHARK 1: dougie. Get him.
DOUGIE: bloop.
[dougie uses water powers to strap him to fence.]
FRANK:huh? What the hell is this?
[Frank tries to get free but the water puts the fire out]
LOSN SHARK #1: I'd save my energy if I were you.
[screen with lock breaking]
[they beat him up. this can't be seen but there is a screen of sky with fight noises and text]
[Frank shakes weakly on the ground]
LOAN SHARK 1: where did you hide the viles, Frank? WHERE DID YOU HIDE THEM?
FRANK: I didn't take them.
LOSN SHARK 1: Dougie. Do your thing.
[Frank is punched by DOUGIE and knocked out]
[lights start to fade] [black screen with bubbles.] FRANK speaking: why is it always so dark. I'm beginning to forget what the light looks like.
[cuts back to Frank]
LOAN SHARK 2: wake him up
[FRANK gets slapped]
FRANK: [catching Wales up] I don't have them!
LOAN SHARK 1: wrong answer. again. [signals to punch FRANK]
FRANK: wai- [face bruised bracing for impact]
LOAN SHARK 1: ok. Let him speak again.
FRANK: I'll give you the money! That's what you want right?
LOAN SHARK 1: when can you get it?
FRANK: if it's the 200k, I'd need at least 3 months
[loan sharks start laughing]
[loan shark 2 puts hand on loan shark 1 shoulder]
LOAN SHARK 1: get off me,ed.
LOAN SHARK 2: sorry boss.
LOAN SHARK 1: wrong again Frank. [signals for punch]
FRANK: wait don't! [braces for impact again]
[dougie gets killed]
[loan sharks and Frank look shocked]
LOAN SHARK 1: who is there?! [cocks gun]
LOAN SHARK 2: I'll protect you boss![cocks gun] [shoots person but the bullets bounce off them]
LOAN SHARK 2: it's the shadow slate!
LOAN SHARK 1: the what?
SHADOW SLATE: THIS WILL ONLY STING FOR A SECOND.
LOAN SHARK 2: boss we should go!
LOAN SHARK 1: it's just 1 guy!
[LOSN SHARK 2 gets knocked out]
[see him desperate for breath on the floor]
LOAN SHARK 1: you.
[SHADOW SLATE steps forward]
LOAN SHARK 1:you are messing with the wrong people
[starts shooting shadow slate but the bullets bounce off him]
LOAN SHARK 1: ugh. Silvers gonna kill you
[shadow slate goes up to him]
[breaks loan sharks gun]
SHADOW:well you better tell this silver guy that the red head gets three months.
[SHADOW pushes LOAN SHARK 1]
[LOAN SHARK 1 on floor]
And I better not see you on the streets till then.
LOAN SHARK 1: haha, yeah right.
[LOAN SHARK 2 recovers and runs for SLATE]
[SLATE dodges]
[LOAN SHARK 2 falls]
LOAN SHARK 1: ed! You idiot!
FRANK: that new guy. Getting caught in his arms would be trouble. Well. He's gone now.
LOAN SHARK 1: [carrying others] you'll pay for this!
SHADOW: yeah. 200k to be exact. Right red head?
FRANK: I'm getting the heck out of here [crawling]
[SLATE stands in his way]
SHADOW: where are you going?
FRANK: you are in the way.
SHADOW: yeah. That's the point.
FRANK: ah, I see. [stands up] you want my gratitude. [gasping for breath] well. Thank you kind sir. I couldn't have done it without you. [he starts to walk past SHADOW] seriously though, I could have done it myself. See ya around.
[SHADOW grabs his wrist.]
[FRANKS face starts to get angry]
FRANK: I'd let go if I were you [anger in his voice]
[fire starts to come out of FRANKS hands]
[burning SHADOW but he has no reaction]
FRANK: [angry and confused] how are you not in pain?
[SHADOW is still emotionless]
FRANK: what the hell is wrong with you.
SHADOW: listen. I'm here to offer you a job.
FRANK: I don't need one.
SHADOW: really? How will you pay them back?
FRANK: [laughing] you really think I'm gonna?
[FRANK pulls SHADOWS hand off of his wrists]
FRANK: now. If you'll excuse me, I have places to be.
[under breath]
Asshole.
SHADOW: you know there's a bounty on your head.
[in darkness]
If you don't comply, I'd be happy to turn you in to silver.
FRANK: are you trying to blackmail me?
SHADOW:no, I'm giving you a choice.
[FRANK looks angry]
So, what's it gonna be?
[FRANK tries to run]
[SHADOW tackles him]
FRANK: what do you want from me?
SHADOW: you just love running from everything don't you?
JENNY: hey? What's taking so long? [on switch] We're gonna be late!
FRANK: [blushing] wait. You two know each other?
SHADOW: yeah. She works for me.
JENNY: close enough I guess. So what's this about? Does he not want to join?
SHADOW: apparently not
FRANK: hey! Hey! Get off me man!
SHADOW: but you'll run.
FRANK: I won't! I promise!
SHADOW: hmm- [handcuffs him] was it worth it?
FRANK: shut up [sniffs] [looks at handcuffs] are these necessary? I'll burn right through them.
SHADOW: there're made of titanium.
FRANK: ah, so that's your element huh? Titanium?
SHADOW: get in the car.
FRANK: how about I burn your car down? How ya gonna stop that?
SHADOW: how about I knock you unconscious?
[Frank get in the car angrily]
[jenny enter]
[awkward moment for Frank because their legs squish together]
[Frank blushes and looks away]
[jenny on switch]
SHADOW: alright. That should do it. Jenny, what's the time?
JENNY: 21:40
SHADOW: we will be fine.
[car driving off and car noises-can be done in darkness]
JENNY:but there's gonna be a line. There's always a line.
[on motorway]
JENNY: so, is he coming too?
SHADOW:who?
JENNY: the guy next to me.
SHADOW: oh, red head? Nah, I'm handing him over to silver.
JENNY: aww that's a shame. He would have been a nice partner.a
[Frank still blushing]
FRANK: you know...about the job... I never said I wouldn't join.
SHADOW: simp hehe.
FRANK: HEY! NO ONE ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION! [angry embarrassment ]
SHADOW: do you want the job or not?
[Frank facing away]
FRANK: sure.
SHADOW: want to tell us about yourself?
FRANK: no.
SHADOW: ok. [long pause] Frank farenheight. Age. 29. Born in a Damon's on February 12th 1032.
[Frank slowly looks around, horrified]
Moved to new Huston to study automotive design and engineering. Graduated without a job. 1054, joined the special forces elemental program. Achieved record scores in 5 categories. [long pause] except one. The only member of unit 3 that failed. Started illegal activity at age 25. And then you left right after a promotion. Man, you've been all over the place. Sounds like bad commitment.
FRANK: I will gut you! Who told you that stuff! [tries to grab him]
[jenny is visibly annoyed]
SHADOW: well that struck a nerve. Jenny can you please stop him from grabbing the wheel.
FRANK: arrrrrgh! Who are you guys anyway? How do you know so much about-
SHADOW: you? That's none of your business. Join us or go back to silver. Your choice. I could have gotten you into so much trouble with that information [serious] heck, I didn't even have to save you from those loan sharks.
FRANK: I didn't need your help I could have taken them out by mysel-
SHADOW:all I'm asking for is some cooperation. [camera faces SHADOW] If anything we have a common goal. I know you need this job.
FRANK:you don't know what I want.
[camera front angle]
SHADOW: I know what you need [long pause] do you want me to list them?
FRANK: no.
SHADOW: food..shelter..mon-
FRANK: I said no.
