"Kageyama?"

"Senpai."

"Oh my god, you've grown so much! I guess I can't call you 'lil king' anymore."

"You can if you want," he replies with a grin.

"You've gotten so skinny," I say, giving him a light pat.

"I guess I haven't changed that much."

"You have, pook," I tease, pinching his cheeks.

"Um, Y/n, do you know him?"

"Oh yeah, Rin. We were neighbors back in middle school when I lived in Miyagi. We practiced volleyball together with some friends."

"Oh, I see."

"Also, Y/n senpai, I need to tell you something—"

"NEXT UP: INARIZAKI FROM HYOGO VS. KARASUNO FROM MIYAGI!"

"It's time! Show me how much you've really grown, Tobio."

"Do your best, you two."

They both turn to me and nod with smiles.

"Okay then, I'll head to the audience," I say, jogging to my seat.

Both teams line up on the court, bowing and taking their positions after the captains shake hands. Atsumu serves and earns the first point. He tries again but hits it out, giving Karasuno a point. Karasuno's Ace, #3, serves but hits the net. Our #5 serves next but also misses. Their Middle Blocker, #11, serves, which is received by our libero. An orange-haired boy sprints in for an incredible jump but forgets to hit the ball?

Next, it's Rin's turn to serve. Karasuno gets a point, but Atsumu and Aran manage to steal their chance. Suna serves again; their captain barely receives it, and Kageyama attempts a spike but gets blocked. He quickly rebounds and sets it to the tangerine-haired player (oops), who jumps and spikes the ball, scoring a point. The orange-haired #10 draws everyone's attention with a Slide Attack. Kageyama serves, and although the ball hits the net, our libero saves it. Atsumu steps in, tossing it to our #2, who scores.

"AND HINATA SHOYO SCORES A POINT!"

So, that's Hinata. Samu serves, and Karasuno scores. The pattern continues with each team scoring in turn. Aran serves and earns a point. Suddenly, a Traditional Japanese Instruments' tune fills the air, its peaceful rhythm motivating Karasuno to score the next point. Hinata serves, and a quick play from Inarizaki is received by Hinata's foot! Everyone is stunned by what just happened, but Karasuno's captain capitalizes on the shock and scores.

Karasuno wins the first set. As the next set begins, Inarizaki takes the lead. Atsumu targets their #4 libero, who has missed a few times. #4 responds with some strange finger push-ups to calm himself down. What a unique strategy! The next time he's targeted, he manages to receive the ball, but thanks to Rin, Inarizaki still secures the point. He looks at me and winks, smirking, and my heart melts. OOOF THIS GUY. Just when our school approaches 20 points, Kageyama unleashes some killer serves. Still, Inarizaki wins the set, thanks to Kita's entrance.

The third set begins after a draw from the first two. Tsumu serves and scores with a floater. Karasuno earns the next point. Both teams are clearly feeling the pressure, fighting hard for every point, each player giving their all. Tsumu and Samu execute their quick play perfectly, but it's countered by the quick duo of Hinata and Kageyama.
