Historical Events of Juvelia
In the year Circa 1200, the kingdom of Juvelia was gripped by an unrelenting blizzard that refused to yield. The storm raged for so long that the people lost all sense of time; days, weeks, and months blurred into one endless, white expanse. The sun became a distant memory, its light smothered by the storm's fury. Crops withered beneath the snow, and the once-thriving kingdom descended into a ghostly silence. Even the Kinstrife War, a bitter conflict that had torn the realm apart, came to an abrupt halt as armies were forced to retreat from the frozen battlegrounds. Villagers huddled in their homes, whispering tales of ancient curses and forgotten gods. As the blizzard persisted, the people of Juvelia wondered if they would ever see the end of this frozen nightmare, or if time itself had been swallowed by the storm.
13th Day of Ekaterina 1201
The air grows heavier with each passing day. The clans are relentless in their feuding, tearing at each other with the ferocity of rabid wolves. It seems that reason and honor have been forgotten—buried beneath the blood-soaked earth that was once our homeland.
In their madness, some have descended into a state I scarcely recognize. They behave no better than the barbarians who dwell in the frozen wastes of the far north, driven by a primal rage that knows no bounds. How did we fall so far? The echoes of our ancestors, proud and wise, must be wailing in the halls of the afterlife.
Gerta worries, though she says little. Her eyes betray her fear, a fear I share. This is not the life we envisioned; the dreams we once held seem like distant, unreachable stars. Yet, there is still hope. My work on the mirror progresses. It's our one chance to escape this madness, to find a world where we can live in peace—together, away from the savagery that has consumed our people. The mirror, if the calculations hold true, will take us far from here.
I must perfect it, for Gerta's sake and my own. I will not let the darkness of this world consume us. Not when a new one lies just beyond the glass.

30th Day of Irina 1201
A fierce storm has descended upon Juvelia, burying the city in a blanket of snow thicker than I have ever seen. The wind howls like a banshee, but it is not the storm that unsettles me—it is the frost overtaking my mirror.
This frost is unnatural, moving with a life of its own, forming symbols that stir ancient memories. I fear it is the work of the Snow Queen, long believed to be a myth, seeking revenge for her banishment after the War of Frost and Fire.
The mirror was supposed to be our escape, but if the Snow Queen has returned, I dread what that might mean for us.

28th Day of Nikolai 1201
Kai has been missing for days now. I've searched every corner of our home, called out for him until my voice was hoarse, but there has been no sign of him—only silence.
