Later that day Lafayette spots the three boy's from earlier walking through the court yard he is currently passing through. One of them, a boy with a freckled face and hair slicked back into a ponytail, notices him a grins. He elbows his buddy and days something Lafayette doesn't catch.
The tallest one, who has dark skin and shortly cut hair smiles and says with his booming voice, "Hey, you're that French guy from class. What's up, man?"
Lafayette smile snack awkwardly, "Y-Yez, I am. Itz a pleasure." His French accent rolls of his tongue.
The shortest one, who they called Alexander, lifts his hand for a fist bump, "So, Lafayette, is it? Wanna join is for lunch?"
Lafayette's eyebrows raise, surprised by the sudden invitation. Sending his suprise Alexander grins, "We can show you around."
Lafayette inclines his head, "I'd be happy to join you three. May I know your names?" He asks politely.
The one with freckles intrudes them, "I'm John Lauren's, the short one-"
The 'short one' hits him and cuts him off, "I am not short!" He turns his attention back to Lafayette cool, "I am Alexander Hamilton."
Calmly the tall one says, "I'm Hercules. Hercules Mulligan."
Lafayette opens his mouth to introduce himself before realizing they already know his name. "Uh- hello."
The three guys start walking again, not waiting up for Lafayette as they make their way to the campus kitchens. On the way, Alexander nudges Lafayette's elbow, "With an accent like that you'll have girls all over you."
The others chuckle and Lafayette smiles, feeling a bit uncomfortable, "No- no, I don't think zo."
Alexander shakes his head, "What? Not a ladies man?"
Lafayette holds in rolling his eyes, "I am. Just... Not so outwardly."
John pipes up, "I thought the French were supposed to be romantic?"
Hercules answers him, "That's just a stereotype, not everyone is the same." He reminds the two, his whole mood very chill and collected.
Lafayette gives him a smile of thanks, "That iz true. I... Am not very forward."
Alexander nods, "That's understandable, rejection is a bitch."
Hercules shakes his head in amusement, John nods in agreement and Lafayette is simply surprised by Alexander's words. And understanding. His old friends would have made fun of him if he admitted such a thing.
