Chapter 6

Carol quickly grabbed a nearby blanket to cover herself, her face flushing with embarrassment. Naruto, too, took a moment to recompose himself. Jessica Drew, still blushing under her mask, tried to avert her gaze but couldn't escape the awkwardness of the situation.

Naruto: (raising an eyebrow) Jess, what brings you here?

Jessica: (stuttering) Well, uh, I was... you know, following the Juggernaut's trail a few weeks ago. He disappeared, and then I saw these ninja-like guys with white masks. They vanished too, but I've been keeping an eye out.

Naruto's expression grew serious, and Carol could sense the tension in the room.

Naruto: White masks, you say? Any other details?

Jessica: (nodding) Yeah, they were pretty stealthy. I couldn't catch them, but they seemed to be heading towards this direction.

Carol: (concerned) Naruto, what does this mean?

Naruto: (grim) It means we might have more trouble on our hands. Jess, thanks for letting us know. We'll look into it.

Jessica: (nervously) Uh, yeah. No problem. I'll, um, leave you two to... whatever you were doing. Sorry for barging in.

Naruto: (smirking) No worries. Next time, knock, though.

Jessica blushed even more before quickly leaving the room. Naruto turned to Carol with a serious expression.

Naruto: We need to be on high alert. Those masked guys might be connected to what's been happening.

Carol nodded, her earlier embarrassment replaced by concern. The intimate moment was abruptly interrupted by the looming threat, and Naruto knew they needed to gather information and prepare for the challenges ahead.

As Jessica shared her information about the mysterious masked individuals, Naruto's expression turned grim. He stiffened upon hearing the description, realizing it could be related to Root, Danzo's covert organization. Rising from the bed completely naked, he walked up to Jessica with a purpose.

Naruto: Root... They're up to something again.

Naruto didn't bother covering himself as he passed by Jessica, who was now wide-eyed and blushing beneath her mask. The shock of the unexpected nudity left her stammering and flustered. Naruto flashed in front of her, leaving the Spider-Woman in a state of bewilderment.

Jessica: (blushing) N-Naruto, I... uh...

Naruto, indifferent to her embarrassment, continued walking past her. Carol, still wrapped in a blanket, couldn't help but smirk at the situation.

Carol: (smirking) Jess, next time, maybe knock. Or perhaps you're into surprises?

Jessica's blush deepened, and she fumbled to find words. Carol's teasing suggestion caught her off guard.

Jessica: (stammering) I-I'll, um, keep that in mind. Sorry for interrupting.

She quickly said her goodbyes and practically fled the room. Carol burst into laughter at Jessica's embarrassed reaction.

Carol: (laughing) Naruto, you scared her off like a shy schoolgirl!

Naruto shrugged, not bothered by the whole ordeal.

Naruto: She'll get over it. Now, about these Root guys... We need to be ready.

Carol nodded, the earlier intimate atmosphere replaced by the urgency of the situation.

In the heart of the village, Juggernaut wreaked havoc, destroying everything in his path. His thunderous roars echoed in his English language, incomprehensible to the bewildered shinobi witnessing the rampage. The unstoppable force crushed an ANBU operative's head with ease, tossing the lifeless body away as if it were a mere doll.
