There were over 200 submissions for the competition, so it was about a 0.5% chance of winning. The announcement ceremony was held at a concert venue since it was only students from his district. All the participants sat in the crowd, with the parent, guardian, or other adult that attended with them. The lights dimmed, and a man wearing an expensive suit, tie, and just looked very fancy overall, walked onto the stage, instantly making the crowd quiet down. "Hello, and welcome to the 2024 photography competition. We had many amazing submissions, but we can only choose our top three favorites, which was a hard decision. The first place winner of the 2024 photography competition is... drumroll please..." The announcer spoke. 'There is like no chance its me. It's not going to be me...' Julian thought to himself, and the announcer continued speaking after a few seconds. "Julian Solace! Julian please come to the stage!" The announcer spoke into the microphone. 'WHAT?! HOW DID I WIN????' Julian thought and he quickly stood up, and walked towards the stage, feeling hundred of eyes on him. His stomach turned, and he looked down. Julian slowly walked up onto the stage, and the announcer smiled. "There you are! I want to congratulate you on your photo! It was amazing, interesting but also simple." The announcer said. "Uhm... thanks..." Julian said with a slight shakiness to his voice. "Now come on, give a speech!" The announcer said with a big grin. "If you didn't know, I am Julian Solace. I am a Sophomore at Lincoln High school. I would like to thank Mrs. Wacky for always supporting me and being an amazing teacher. I would also like to thank my uncle, Matthew. He has always been there for me, and I don't know what I would do without him." Julians voice quivered as he spoke, and his hands were trembling. He felt queasy, and like he was going to puke. "GOOD JOB JULIAN!! THAT'S MY BOY!!" Matthew shouted from the crowd. Julian couldn't help but smile.
