chapter - 4 : partner or enemy

" You....... I HATE YOU " I yelled getting furious as water collected in my eyes.

"It's mutual," He said and moved outside before glancing at my ankle once again with his ash-like eyes to mock me I guess.

After a while nurse also entered the infirmary.
She asked me to walk. And when I did surprisingly pain lessens a lot.

"It's not hurting now, " I said to her when she asked me how I was feeling.

" Btw I am Nisha. You can call me di And now you can go back to your class " She said with a smile and a wink.

" I am Sambhavi and thank you so much for helping me di. " I said with a smile as I slowly walked toward the door.

" Don't thank me. It's my job. But you can thank Atharv. He helped you a lot " She said thoughtfully.

" He's a little rude but kind guy and I also think he likes you," She said thinking

" That's not possible he hates me (And I hate him ) "I said to her with a carefree attitude.

" Believe me dear. I have seen many people at least more than you. He's the type of guy who won't help unless you are someone important. And he doesn't know how to show affection. His injuries are deep dear. He needs someone to put meditation on them or else it will leave a scar " She said with sadness.

" Di. He's injured... Meditation. What are you even saying " I asked her confused

" Leave it. You won't get it now. It's not my place to share anything and go back to your class fast or you will miss it " She said to me while sighing.

After that when I got to class. The teacher and my friends got worried and asked about the injury.

The rest of the day went as usual. By luck, R5 didn't attend the class.
Good for me I didn't want to see his annoying face. When school got over everyone started running toward the exit.

" I will not go home right now so by,e," I said to both friends

" Why? You are injured" They both said together

" I need to go to basketball practice," I said
"Are u sure?" Ishika said

" Of course, my ankle is alright now, I can even run," I said jokingly

" Ok then bye, " They both said and walked toward the gate

And I moved toward the basketball court. There I saw teams of girls already formed and ready to practice.

When Mr. Joshi saw me he said
" Sambhavi, you came. But Atharv told me. "

" He was joking sir, nothing happened I had some minor injury only. Which is already healed " I said interrupting him.

" Ok then as you can see two teams each of girl and boy formed and you will lead the girl one while boys are already experienced so they are going help you improve," He said.

" Ok sir," I said as I moved toward my team members.

Just then I saw Mr. Arrogant there on the court playing basketball like an NBA player.

Won't lie but he is very professional.
His golden wheat-like skin is glowing and dripping with sweat.
his hair is also damp with it. Make him more attractive than usual. Shit... What am I thinking?

He is wearing a loose t-shirt so whenever he is dunking the ball into the basket his shirt flips upward and shows his toned muscles which are also half covered with tattoos.
Like I thought he did work out a lot and also had so many tattoos from his side stomach and biceps to his neck.

I can't figure it out. What is drawn in it Geez... Sam wakes up he's your enemy you hate him for god sake. But unfortunately, my eyes met his ashy one as he dunked his ball and won the match.

He even gave me a smirk while lifting his shirt to wipe his sweaty face. Showing his abbs again on display.

I moved away my eyes off him but felt someone glare at the back of my head.

So I moved my head a little to see that person who was drilling whole on my head.

It was a girl about my age and she was glaring at me with hatred. God... It even scared me a little. I don't remember doing anything to her.

She walked toward me with a tightly gripped water bottle in her hand.
She came close to me and said with gritted teeth " Stay away from him, you bitch. He is mine. "

But before I can answer she walks away from my side while bumping harshly my shoulder.

I almost lost my balance. What's her problem? Who is she talking about?
When I looked again at her. I saw her with Mr. Arrogant She was clinging to his arm and passing him that water bottle.

She is also talking to him seductively to gain his attention because he is talking to his teammate not paying her much attention but he did take that water bottle and also didn't move away from her.

So I guess She's his girlfriend. But why she is warning me it's not that I like him.

Mr. Joshi announced something that took my attention away from them " Form separate lines, girls and boys "

We started forming separate lines after that he again said, " Boys choose one girl partner whom you will help with practice. ". And all the boys started walking toward different girls.

I think I should also look for one just then mr Joshi said " Sambhavi and Atharv come here"

We both moved toward him and stood in front of him while I distanced myself away from Atharv.

" Atharv you will help Sambhavi with the practice as you both are the leader of your respective team. So you will be the best choice for her but at last it's your choice so what do you think " Sir said to him.

Well, he will say no as he will train his girlfriend. Why will he waste his time with me I also want to see his face. His intense eyes just annoy me.

" Hmm... Ok, sir. I also think so " He said to him with a nod*

Wtf ... Why did he agree

"I also think she is lacking a lot. So I will help her improve but I am very strict so she has to behave and follow my instructions " He said while looking me in the eye.

I am too annoyed and furious. I want to punch his face but I have to listen to sir. So keeping my emotions in control.

"Ye.. S, of course" I said while cracking a fake smile.

" Okay then, you can go and practice now, " Mr Joshi said.

We walked toward the coat where everyone was practicing.

He was walking beside me while looking ahead and I was stealing glancing at him to see his expression.

Just then his girlfriend came to him and said
" Atharv, come here and teach me how to throw the ball into the goal," she said while reaching for his arm again.

God... It's a basket, not a goal. Who even choose her for the team?

"I am busy so ask some other guy," He said backing off and starting walking ahead.
Well, that was a shock.

He is quite damn... Rude but who cares she is also rude.

They match each other I thought

" Hey, missy Don't dream during daylight. I don't have time to waste " He said to me

I came to the present and looked toward him he was already in the position.

I became confused and pointed to myself.
Me. I thought.

" Of course, you fool," He said with a raised eyebrow.

What is his problem can't he talk without making me furious?
