No one's POV
Morning arrived, Lucifer awakened to find himself in his room, no longer at the rooftop. After a moment of orientation, he decided to explore and descended towards the lobby.
"Good morning," greeted the king, scanning the room. Charlie, hand in hand with Vaggie, returned the greeting, "Morning, Dad!" "How's apple pie? Out with the girlfriend?" he chuckled. Charlie nodded before bidding goodbye and departing. "HAVE FUN!!!"
"Well, good morning, shorty!" Alastor, ever enthusiastic, greeted, leaning on Lucifer's shoulder. "Ah, good morning, my friend!" He chuckled. "Enjoying the day?" "Of course! But honestly, I still have a lot to do! I don't have much time now, but how about we meet up tonight to chat a bit more?~" A broad smile appeared on Lucifer's lips. Nodding vigorously, he said, "YES!! I-i mean, Of course! See you later then, Alastor."
Alastor chuckled, vanishing through the door, off to who knows where. Angel Dust, lounging on the sofa observing it all, laughed and remarked, "HA! You're practically eatin' him with yer eyes, blondie. Get a room already!" Lucifer rolled his eyes, a small smile playing on his lips as he retorted, "Oh, fuck off spider boy."
Lucifer's retort elicited a chuckle from Angel Dust, who lounged back, his smirk unwavering. "Oh, come on, Luci, don't be such a killjoy! It's not every day we see you two lovebirds dancin' around each other."
Lucifer shot him a withering glare, though a hint of amusement twinkled in his eyes. "Lovebirds? In your dreams! We're just friends, Angel. Nothing more nothing less."
The spider raised an eyebrow
"Sure, sure, whatever you say, Lucy. But trust me, there's more in this story that you don't want to tell us!!"With a dismissive wave of his hand, Lucifer brushed off Angel's insinuations. As Lucifer exchanged banter with Angel Dust, Nifty, with her ever-present enthusiasm, bustled into the conversation, her voice bubbling with cheer. "But you and Alastor make such a cute couple!!" Husk, leaning against the bar with a knowing smirk, chimed in with his characteristic dry humor. "Oh yeah, it's like watching a Mexican novel. Who knew the ''''Prince of Darkness'"' had a soft spot for an ugly ass deer?" Lucifer rolled his eyes, though a hint of amusement flickered across his features. "You're all unbelievable!" he muttered, though the corners of his lips twitched with suppressed laughter. Nifty giggled, her eye twinkling with mischief. "Oh, don't be so grumpy!" Husk chuckled, pouring himself a drink as he observed the playful banter unfolding before him. "Yeah yeah, go for it, or I don't know. I'm too old for this."
"Eat that ass!!" Angel yelled, receiving disgusted glares from Husk. "What ya lookin' at? Wanna eat my ass too?~" Husk showed the middle finger to Angel, drinking his cheap booze with a tired and annoyed face.
A few hours later
As the night draped its velvet cloak over the hotel, Alastor arrived, drawn to the warm glow of the bar. "I'm back!~" Lucifer saw the deer entering and ran to him. "Welcome back!! Care for a drink?~" Alastor chuckled, nodding and following the king to the bar.
"So, how was your day?" "Wonderful, my dear."
They entered into a long conversation, drinking more and more. After some hours, it was clear that they weren't sober (especially Alastor, who wasn't even making sense anymore).
"Oh, I remembered one night when I was alive... it was a jazzy mishmash of... stuff and things, my dear Lucifer!" He grinned widely, his eyes glazed over with the effects of the alcohol. "I danced with the moon and sang with the stars! Haha!" He burst into a fit of giggles, swaying slightly on his feet. Lucifer chuckled, pouring a drink for Alastor, his own words starting to slur as well. "Sounds like quite the adventure, old sport! Here, drink up!" He slid the glass over to the deer, who eagerly took a sip, almost spilling some in the process.
"Weisky" Alastor said, resting his head on the balcony. "What?" Lucifer replied, laughing a little bit. "The bottle you're holding, weisky." "Oh, Alastor! What the hell are you saying?" "I'm drink, totally your fault." The blonde one seemed insulted, looking directly into Alastor's eyes. "WHY???!? :) _(! 'KKZ! -))??"
As the night deepened and the effects of the alcohol began to weigh heavier on Alastor, Lucifer couldn't help but feel a mixture of concern and affection for the demon. Alastor's laughter had become more subdued, his movements sluggish as the intoxication took its toll.
"Alastor," Lucifer said softly, his voice tinged with worry, "I think it's best for you to rest now. Let's get you to bed."
Alastor nodded drowsily, his eyes half-lidded with exhaustion. "Yes, bed sounds... sounds lovely," he murmured, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Lucifer looped an arm around Alastor's waist, supporting him as they made their way through the dimly lit corridors of the hotel. Alastor leaned heavily against him, his steps unsteady but his spirits high, a contented smile playing on his lips. As they reached Alastor's room, Lucifer helped him settle onto the bed, tucking the covers around him with tenderness. Alastor's eyes fluttered closed, his breathing slow and steady as he succumbed to the embrace of sleep.
"Thank you, Lucifer," Alastor whispered, his voice soft with fatigue and gratitude. Lucifer's heart swelled with emotion at the sound of Alastor's voice, his feelings buried deep beneath the facade of friendship. "You're welcome, Alastor," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
Before Lucifer could leave the room, the deer demon grabbed his hand, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. "What..?" The king blushed, surprised by what just happened. Alastor had fallen asleep, probably due to the alcohol.
With Alastor's gentle kiss lingering on his lips, Lucifer's heart raced with a tumultuous mix of emotions. He stood there, stunned, as Alastor's soft snores filled the room, a stark contrast to the intensity of the moment they had just shared. The weight of Alastor's vulnerability hung heavy in the air, tugging at the strings of Lucifer's own guarded heart.
Gently extricating his hand from Alastor's grasp, Lucifer watched over him for a moment longer, his mind swirling with unanswered questions and unspoken truths. As he turned to leave, he cast one last glance at the sleeping figure, his resolve wavering in the face of newfound feelings.
Closing the door behind him, Lucifer retreated into the quiet solitude of the night, his thoughts consumed by the enigma of his emotions and the delicate dance of friendship and definitely something more. With each step echoing through the empty halls, he carried with him the weight of a confession unspoken, a truth untold, and a bond yet to be fully understood. "Holy fuck" he tough, entering his room, a large Smile right into his face
