No one's POV
The night unfolded with a gentle cadence, the hotel humming with the serenity of slumbering guests embraced by its comforting ambiance. As dawn tiptoed in, casting a golden glow across the lobby, Alastor roused from his sleep, echoes of laughter and whispered confessions still dancing in his mind. With a lazy yawn, he stretched, recalling the warmth of Lucifer's hand lingering in his memory.
Sitting up, he surveyed the tranquil scene, the morning peace enveloping him. Nifty, the ever-energetic early riser, flitted about with her usual vigor, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the scent of morning dew. "Good morning, sunshine!" she chirped, infusing the air with vitality.
Alastor grinned, welcoming her with a nod. "Good morning, my dear Nifty! Up and at 'em as always!" The deer chuckled as Nifty playfully climbed onto his head. "Can't help it! Gotta make sure everything's ready before the others get up!" she exclaimed, undaunted by the early hour.
Lucifer stirred from his slumber, greeted by the sight of Alastor, his presence a comforting sight in the stillness of the morning. "Morning, guys," Lucifer murmured, his voice soft with sleep, his gaze lingering on Alastor.
Alastor chuckled softly, basking in Lucifer's warmth. "Morning, Lucifer. Slept well, my friend?" he inquired, genuine curiosity lacing his tone.
Lucifer nodded, a contented smile gracing his features. "Like a log. Thanks to you, I suppose," he replied, affection coloring his words. "That's great!"
As the residents began to stir, Charlie and Vaggie were the first to awaken, wrapped in each other's embrace on one of the sofas. Charlie rubbed her eyes, yawning as she disentangled herself from Vaggie's arms. "Morning, everyone," she greeted, still heavy with sleep.
Vaggie stretched, a contented sigh escaping her lips. "Morning, Charlie," she replied, her gaze softening as she met Charlie's eyes. "Sleep well?"
Charlie nodded, a playful glint in her eyes. "Like a baby. Especially with you beside me," she said, planting a gentle kiss on Vaggie's cheek.
Blushing, Vaggie returned the affectionate gesture. "Oh, you!" she teased, her voice filled with affection.
Alastor chuckled at their exchange, nostalgia tugging at his heartstrings. "Ah, young love. Such a beautiful thing, isn't it?" he remarked, sharing a knowing glance with Lucifer.
Lucifer smiled softly but looked away, lost in his thoughts. Nifty flitted about, her energy infectious as she prepared breakfast. "Guys! Breakfast is served!" she called, shaking Angel and Husk awake.
"Fuuuuuck... Just five more minutes," Angel groaned, while Husk grumbled about the early hour.
Angel and Husk bantered back and forth, their playful jabs filling the air with warmth. As the morning unfolded, the residents gathered around the table, sharing stories and laughter.
Charlie's heart swelled with gratitude for the family she had found. "I'm so glad we're all here together," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Her words resonated with each of them, gratitude shining in their eyes. As breakfast drew to a close, they dispersed, returning to their duties.
Hours later, Alastor and Lucifer found themselves alone in Lucifer's chamber, sharing stories and laughter. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter punctuating the quiet moments.
Alastor leaned back, recounting a particularly amusing anecdote. "And then, can you believe it, the whole place was covered in blood!" he exclaimed, laughter filling the room.
Lucifer was taken aback but warmed by Alastor's laughter. "What the hell, you freak!" he replied, a smile tugging at his lips. "You always did that to your victims?"
Alastor grinned mischievously. "Oh, you have no idea," he teased. Their conversation turned to Lucifer's past adventures, each word deepening their connection.
Their laughter faded into a hush, longing and desire sparking between them. In a timeless embrace, they leaned closer, their lips meeting in a tender kiss. The world fell away, leaving only the two of them entwined in an intimate dance of souls. As they finally pulled away, breathless and trembling. "Lu-"
Something interrupted their moment
It was Charlie, who was shocked "Oh.. I'm sorry, Dad! I-I'll come back later!" she stammered, retreating from the room and closing the door.In the quiet aftermath, Alastor and Lucifer were left embarrassed by the interruption. "Oh, fuck." Lucifer muttered, the moment lost but the connection between them stronger than ever.
"YOU LEFT THE DOOR OPEN?" Alastor said, getting away, his ears pinned against his head, his face red as his hair."OH, SORRY!! I forgot..!" Lucifer sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's alright, Alastor. We were just caught up in the moment..!" he reassured, though his cheeks were tinged with a faint yellow hue.
Alastor straightened his tie, trying to regain his composure. "Well, it's not like we can turn back time..." he remarked with a forced nonchalance, though his heart raced with embarrassment.Lucifer nodded in agreement, a wry smile playing on his lips. "Again, I'm sorry, I just-"
"There's no need to apologize. We'll... Talk about it tomorrow. It was an stupid thing, we're both stupid. I... Good night, Lucifer" alastor said as he got up, quickly leaving the room."Oh... Good night, love you..." The king said to himself, watching the other demon leave.
Lucifer rose from the bed and made his way to his desk, where he picked up two rubber ducks and amused himself with them until he drifted off to sleep.
