It was nearly a week until these unlikely lovers met again. By then Chloe had had completely forgotten about what happened with Rascal. All that was left was the faint smell of roses.
Spring turned to summer and another note made its way to Chloe. It said to meet in the same place as last time. Well, one thing lead to another and someone fainted in the middle of the street. Without warning, Rascal started screaming, "I'm sorry! I promise not to kill another human again! I never asked to be this way!" He fell to his knees and began to cry. Chloe got down and put her hand on the person's neck, she felt a heartbeat.
Chloe went over to Rascal and tried to comfort him "It's okay. Whoever that person was, they'll be alright. Let's try to focus on getting them somewhere safe." They managed to get the person onto a bench and placed in a way that made it look like they had fallen asleep. Silently, the two ran off into the night, in hopes that the stranger they had scared would wake up forgetting what had happened.
