In a society of balance and sport, three capitals stood on earth, as the new system of government in three different cities. The Capital of Kings, Zeus. The Capital of Tides, Poseidon. And the Capital of the Dead, Hades. The Capital of Kings is in the heavens, an honor to live there. If you live in the Capital of Tides, they are considered to be the middle class of the Capitals, they collect materials that is for the other capitals, last but not least is the Capital of the Dead, if you are born here, you are unlucky, The people of Hades are considered the incarnate of evil and all things that are not even remotely good. The citizens of Hades are seen as people who have nothing better to do than become everyone's door mat, but unlike you becoming an adult at 18 years of age, the new requirement is 11 years. During the late 2000's, which now is four hundred years ago. It is now October 8th, 2424 and Nameless knows the one thing her mother has told her. What was once called earth, now became the ruin for the new world. Olympus.
"There is no school, there is no training, you must fight to survive." the women takes a swig of alcohol,
Nameless runs out of her house panting, her mother yelling slurred curses as she sits sloppily on the couch. Nameless sighs. Her mother is...a piece of work to say the least. Her mothers snored loudly, it sounded like a loin was on the couch napping after hunting its fill. She sighs.
"Why does mother hate me so? What did I do to her? I never killed dad...Nor did I cause his death, yet she insists I did..." nameless looks at her bruised arm.
She walked down the street. It was empty and eerie. The silence was not helping out. Nameless stayed alert, normally her street would be bustling with people. Kids playing the streets and adults and teens talking or riding the off brand version of hovercraft model 34.
Nameless was walking through the Day of the Dead bizarre. Such a lively place, shopkeepers always selling and citizens always buying. In the city of Persephone, In the capital of Hades, Nameless walked down to the city metro, she had enough money to buy a one-way train ticket to the capital itself, a city filled with black and red colors mainly, but other colors can be found in markets and parties held by the royal family. King Trex and his wife, Queen Sora.
"To get a decent job is to go to the capital where your choices are endless!" One sign said.
"Join the shopkeeper's core, it's the most popular core, due to it encouraging our citizens to use their creative imagination."
"The trader's core is the export of hades wanna join? All goods that are going to the upper levels of earth need to be given to a Trader!"
"The farmers core, they produce goods for our citizens!"
"The workshops core, they create things from weapons to boxes and you can too!"
"The construction core, they rebuild and build our homes, facilities, and even the castle!"
"The food core oversees all the food industries as well as the vendors. Join us to help feed families!"
"The knight's core, join us and you can protect the royal family as knights."
"The goods core, where we get cargo from incoming ships, you get your products!"
"The game station is used to take care of children like our very own day care!"
"The Beast core tames all kinds of wild animals!"
"The sea core, they study all marine life!"
"The sky core they transport people and goods through the air ways. Join us to sore threw the air!"
"The Soul core, especially for the capital of the dead, those who die go on with those of the soul core, they led them to the light, help them move on."
All these signs gave Nameless a headache. She was here on her father's final wish...to attend the Kings speech. She may not have been the smartest at telling her mother. Nameless, held her arm and face, she winced. When she finally pushed her way through the crowed train car, she made it to the very train car that would take her to the capital, she showed her ticket and was allowed entry. When she entered there was another sign for a core. But it was all torn up, cut up and shredded. There was once another core, as the legend goes but no one remembers, those who do have been sworn to secrecy or have since passed on. Let us just say, no one questions the rulers of all Hades.
As Nameless looked out the cabin car's window and saw the city of Persephone having a parade of the dead. It's a parade to celebrate those who have passed away, the more recent and popular is the leading float. Those who are as follows from the most popular to the least popular, more recent to less recent. The leading float was her father's.
Her father was quite a kind soul, he also knew the King himself. Leading the float was the Soul core, carrying candles and singing songs for those who perished during the soul wars. She sighed with grief. Those songs were very old but always had something about them that you would know that the soul of the deceased was with you that very day.
Although, her mother, a careless woman who did nothing more than yell and spit out insults, drinks increased alcohol buy the day to week. Was once a loving and gentle mother. Hard to believe when all she does is drink and curse her only offspring. All cause her father, perished for his daughter's safety...
The metro passed through a tunnel. The lights went on and off as the train sped through the tunnel. When the tunnel ended and the train emerged outside the Capital of the dead, Hades, it was lively with people. A glorious and new looking stage was set up, it looked like the king and queen were going to hold another public speech. The buildings around the stage had the banners of the royal family, there was a timer with days, hours, minutes, and seconds. There were five minutes remaining on the clock. Nameless decided to get some food from a fast-food vender. Nameless went over to the vendor,
"Three churros and one large root beer float please." She asked the vendor,
"Coming right up Ms.!" The vendor said as he got the churros from his cart and the vendor created the float from his cart ice cream and the root-beer from a glass bottle. She paid him with 5 desents.
