I follow him as he runs around, trying to ignore the smell of burnt corpse and smoke. Finally, I lift my shirt to my nose to prevent the noxious fumes from getting in.
Jerome stops at the base of a tree, the climbs. I scramble up after him, and find him standing on a small wooden platform with a broken door swinging on its hinges in front of us. I raise my hand and place it on his furry shoulder.

"Do you want me to...." I trail off, unsure of what to ask. He nods, taking a breath then entering. I follow.
The rooms are empty and I stick around as he goes into the backyard. After a minute, I hear a bone chilling wail, and it drops into a moan. Then it rises again and I know what he's found. Slowly, I go outside and stand behind him, listening and watching, tears brought to my own eyes. He cuts off the wailing and is full out sobbing now, and I feel helpless. Looking downwards for a moment, I hear a voice behind me and whip around, bow in hand.
