"Today is the reason why I went through all the good times and the bad times, and I've been wanting to tell you how much I loved you for so long now." JP gets down to one knee and takes out a small velvet box from his pocket. There is an audible silence in the air. No one moves. No one makes a sound. I don't want to be with anyone else but you forever. You are my best friend and my world. Will you make me the happiest guy in this world and marry me?"

I jump to the edge of my seat, impatiently waiting for an answer. JP is perfect for Ashely. If she doesn't say yes, I'm going to call the producers and give them a piece of my mind. I focus back to the show. Why is it taking so long for her to respond? "Just hurry up already. You know you want to marry him," I blurt out.

"Yes, of course I'll marry you. I love you so much," Ashely finally answered. That's what I'm talking about.

I turn to Jace, my roommate next to me on the couch and high five him. We are both huge fans of the bachelorette ever since it first aired. Jace likes to joke about how I would be amazing on the show. I just shut him down because they would never pick me. I'm a nobody. I wouldn't make the show any good.

"Ally, you would be perfect for the show. And you know it," Jace tells me while he gets up to take his empty wine glass to the kitchen. "I don't know why you haven't applied yet."

I know why I haven't applied yet and he should know, "I just don't have any chance with probably half a million perfect ladies eyeing for a chance."

He just looks at me and rolls his eyes before going back to washing his cup. "Ally, you know that is not true. You would be perfect, and they would be lucky to have you."

I can't lie, I've always dreamed of being on the bachelorette. I mean what girl wouldn't Being surrounded by handsome and sexy bachelors, all focused and devoted to you. Hoping one day to ask for your hand in marriage. I just shake my head at the thought and looked back at him. He's still washing out the glass when I finally speak. "Don't get me wrong, I would love to be on the show. You and me both know I have always dreamed about being whisked away by some handsome guy after giving them a rose, but it's just not practical." With that, he turns around, grabs a towel and rolls his eyes again.

"Whatever Ally. You are not fulling anyone. Just you wait, you never know what could happen," he said as he puts the cup in the cabinet. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Oh goodness, look at the time. We need to get ready fast if we want to make our reservations," he says as he saunters off to his room to get ready. He always does that. Whenever he says something cryptic or ridiculously vague, he leaves and finds something to do or changes the subject.

"We are not done with this conversation. You will tell me what you meant," I yell, still standing in the kitchen. I take a glimpse at the clock and sigh. He's right. We do need to get ready. He decided to make reservations at this new restaurant downtown for our birthday.

Ever since we met back in high school, we have been inseparable. We have been best friends. The best part about our friendship is that we share a birthday. No other friendship could be any more perfect. The only issue is, he loves celebrating his birthday, me not so much. Don't get me wrong, I love my birthday, but celebrating it is not as fun. I'm usually third wheeling on Jace's date with whoever he decided to date that week.

As I walked to my room, Jace was coming out of his with clothes in hand. He looks at me with wide eyes. "What are you waiting for? Let's go," he says, shooing me into my room. He already had clothes on my bed for me to wear. I picked up the small dress and heels off my bed and just shake my head and laugh. "How do you expect me to pull this one off?" I yell to Jace who is not in the bathroom brushing his hair.
