Mor had been back at Hogwarts for all of eight hours and for those past eight hours all she could think about was going to see Regulus. She had to know why he didn't ask.
It was times like these that she wished he hadn't melted her heart because damn does it hurt to want something.
She had been pacing around in her room watching the clock. She just had to wait until midnight then she could see him.
Omg. Why was she being so needy? And crazy? This was not like her at all. And she hated it.
The clock hit midnight and she all but sprinted out of her door to the astronomy tower.
By the time she made it up there she was out of breath.
She took one last big breath and then pushed the door open.
There he was. Regulus Black. The boy who brought her back to life.
He was leaning against the railing. As per usual. She was observing him slowly and everything seemed to be the same. The same hair. The same body. He was everything.
Just as Mor's eye passed over his chest that's when she noticed it. He was wearing blue. That was different. Mor hadn't seen him outside of green or black since she met him. Why was he wearing blue? I mean she didn't mind it especially since she knew color would bring out the blue in his eyes.
Mor could only think of one reason why he would be wearing blue. She had brought up during one of their late night conversations that blue was her favorite color. Of course she had said it while staring into his captivating blue eyes making her blush. She had remembered this conversation because he said that if he could make her blush like that all the time he would only wear blue.
Mor had thought it was a joke at the time. But.... Was he really wearing it for her?
Regulus spun around reaching his hand out for Mor to take.
"It feels like forever since I've seen you?" He said with a smile on his face.
Mor smiled back as she said, "it's only been a day."
Regulus gasped and put his other hand to his chest, "has it been that long?"
They both laughed.
That's when Mor looked into his eyes. She knew it. That blue shirt made them look majestic. Like an ocean glimmering in the moonlight.
"I love it when you do that," Regulus said.
"What? You like to see my face get all red?" Mor said shyly.
"Of course. That's why I went and bought this shirt yesterday," Regulus said, pulling her into him so that both his hands were around her waist. "It was the only thing I could do that would get me to stop thinking about you every second."
"You thought about me every second?" Mor's voice was even quieter now. As if she didn't believe the words she was hearing.
"Every second of every day I think about you," Regulus said as he dipped his head down to give Mor a kiss.
The kiss was soft. She could feel the warmth of his mouth on hers for only a second and then he pulled away.
"I could kiss you all day Mor. But it would distract me. I came up here for a reason you know."
"Really? You didn't just come up here to kiss me?" Mor said with a laugh.
Regulus smiled, "I guess that's a bonus too. But I actually came up here with the intention of asking you something?"
"And what's that," Mor said confused.
"Would you come with me to the ball?"
Mor took a breath. She had forgotten she was going to ask him about the yule ball. I guess all that worrying was for nothing then.
