Remus was sitting at the long dining hall table with his friends for the past twenty minutes watching the door waiting to see when his sister would come in and meet his friends. He was so worried she wouldn't like them. I mean she couldn't not like them. But they were family. As close to family as he had before his sister walked into his life. So for him, it was really important that they liked each other.
His leg was shaking under the table showing his discomfort with waiting. He felt a warm hand come down on his thigh to stop it from shaking. He looked down and saw that it was Sirius who had put his hand there. But Sirius wasn't looking at him he just continued his conversation with James, Lilly, and Marlene as if he hadn't done anything. As if what he was doing was instinctual.
Remus stopped shaking his leg and Sirius left his hand there a moment before it slowly slipped off back at his side. Remus' leg somehow felt cold and naked without Sirius' hand there. He enjoyed the feeling.
The doors to the great hall opened making Remus release his thought and look at the door for his sister.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mor walked into the great hall. She was fiddling with her thumbs on the way in subconsciously. She was so worried about meeting his friends. She didn't have much socialization down in the dungeons for the past thirteen years so it was hard to say whether she was good at making friends or not, but if they were friends with Remus she knew they had to be good people.
Mor spotted Remus out of the corner of her eye. She saw him sit up straighter and wave her over with a slight smile on his face. She made her way over to his table.
As she did she saw the boy sitting next to Remus. He had to same black hair and blue eyes as Regulus. Only he was a little bit shorter he had straighter hair. Regulus did say he had family maybe Sirius was related to him somehow. Maybe he was the reason he stayed. Mor shook her head. She had to think about meeting Remus' friends not Regulus right now.
Mor had finally reached the table when the boy who looked like Regulus said, "The infamous sister. I hear you're my saviour. Which means I owe you one," Sirius said as he slid over to make room for her on the bench. He reached out his hand, "I'm Siruis Black." Mor shook his hand and then sat down at the bench. So he's a Black just like Regulus.
Mor said with a slight nervous smile, "You don't need to owe me anything I bet any one of you would have helped out right?"
A girl with bright red hair smiled at Mor and said, "of course but that doesn't mean you saving the boys wasn't a big deal. I mean take what you can get because them owing you means that you can ask them to leave you alone for a night. And trust me you are going to want a night away."
"Hey," the boy with the brown curly hair and round glasses said. "You don't need a night away from me I'm the love of your life."
The girl with the red hair laughs, "you wish James."
Remus looks at Mor, "He does wish. It's been his dream to marry her since the day he met Lilly." He leaned in and with a smug look on his face whispered in her ear, "I think she's coming around to the idea. She used to detest his antics but I think she's starting to love having him around."
"One day he will get over it," Lilly says.
James gasped, "Never my lillypad. How could I ever meet someone better than you."
Everyone laughed but secretly inside Mor felt warmth. Its like the cold ice that had been shielding her heart for years was finally cracking a little. To see someone so devoted to loving someone else was something she never experienced.
