Three months later

Charlie's POV

A lot had happened since I not only confessed my feelings towards Alastor but between what happened with Vaggie and me. I had told the rest of our friend group in the hotel about the news. Everyone had their own very different reactions. AngelDust had proclaimed that he was right and the Husk owed him $20, because of it. Husk was very skeptical about the news and showed some concern for me. Till Alastor reassured him that he would do anything to keep me out of harm's way. Even if that meant keeping me from Alastor himself. Nifty had just giggled and winked up at Alastor. Not sure what that was about. My Dad well.....while he was very supportive of my dissection. He also threatened Alastor with a slow and painful death. If he would do anything to harm his little girl. Vaggie well you already know how she reacted. Now granted after the first two months she had finally started slowly talking to me again. Even still deciding to stay and help with the hotel. Things were still awkward sometimes between us. Alastor didn't seem to act differently around her. Other than when he did apologize for almost killing her. After that, he went back to his usual self when they were interacting together.

Now some other good things had happened, like we finally started receiving guests at the hotel. There were actual sinners that once they heard about what we did protecting Hell from the extermination. They wanted to give redemption a try, and some of them were making great progress with the program. Yes, life currently was going very well here in Hell for us. We've all come a very long way in this journey of ours. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry, tears of joy that is.

Normal POV

Charlie had been sitting in her office writing in her diary that she kept. Always kept up to date with everything that was happening not only in her life but with the progress of the hotel. She was lost in thought as she wrote. That she hadn't heard the knock that was coming from the door. Once there was no response they let themselves inside.

"Charlie darling is everything alright in here?" Alastor asked as he closed the door behind him and walked over to her desk.

Charlie became startled by the unsuspecting voice. She looked up to see the voice belonging to Alastor and she smiled.

"You know Al this is your office too, you don't have to knock before coming in my dear," Charlie said as she closed her diary and put it back in a drawer on her desk.

Alastor just grinned as he bent down so he was at eye level with Charlie.

"While that may be true my dear. I still find it unpolite to just walk into a room when the door is closed." He said as he kissed the top of her head. "Now back to my question when I came in here. Are you alight since you seemed to space out to me knocking in the first place?" Alastor asked as he took a seat on the little bench that was connected to the bay window.

Charlie blushed at his question knowing that when she thought about it. She did have a bad habit of not noticing things or sounds around her.

"Yes, Alastor I'm doing just fine. I was just journaling a little bit and I guess got lost in my thoughts. I'm wonderful, but who wouldn't be? Look at everything that has happened in only three months. We have guests staying at the hotel who seem to care about being redeemed. You and I are together and everyone including Vaggie now seems happy for us. Plus my dad even received a phone call from Heaven apologizing for the unplanned early attack that happened. Granted though, to be honest, my dad and I believe the only reason they did that. Was because now that the cat was out of the bag about the extermination by Adam. Plus with us winning the fight. We believe they're scared of us taking the fight up to Heaven itself."

Alastor just chuckled at the fact that Charlie could be right about Heaven's sudden actions. "Honestly my dear whether that is true or not. We very well might never know. We've learned how the higher-ups in that place like to hide from their true intentions. So while I would like to believe that your idea might be true. I still think we should keep ourselves on our toes. When it comes to Heaven and their true intentions." Alastor said as he looked out the window and looked straight into the sky.
