Chapter Two

It was the 22nd of september 3pm and Master Splinter laid the recent newspaper on the table infront of Leonardo.
"Were you successful last night" inquired Splinter.
"Yes, we also put a tracker this time in one of the cars" replied Leonardo
"And how was michaelangelo's skills last night"?
"He was better this time".
"How was he better"?
"He listened to everyone master, he didn't talk as much as he did on the last misison"
"And raphael?
"He was more calmer than usual".

Splinter smiled and after getting up he went into another room.
Leonardo checked the front page of the newspaper, it was another article by reporter April O'neil, the headline said...

'Kidnapper strikes again'
Late on August 31, Meredith Young, an 11 year old was abducted from her home.

Leonardo finished reading the article then went to the map on a wall, the map was covered in pen marks, x's here and there, it was surrounded by people's faces, criminals, missing persons etc, he lifted a red ink pen and marked Meredith's last known location on the map.

"Another one"? asked Donatello
"That's the third one since June" replied Leonardo
"All in the same area it looks like".
"We gotta stop this guy Leo"
"Splinter will talk to us tonight about a plan"
"Did he ask about last night"?
"Yup" replied Leonardo
"And"?
"He didn't say much, he just listened"
"Master Splinter listened to you? He never listens to me".
"Im the Leader of the group"
"No, Splinter is"
"Technically yes but I am when we are on a Mission"
"I will never understand his decision to make you the leader"
"If you spend as much time reading as you do anything else he might make you the Leader, its not exactly a position of interest to me"
"Did you tell Splinter? asked Donatello
"No, tomorrow it could me Raphael who he chooses or Michaelangelo"
"Who would you choose"? asked Donatello.
Leonardo thought for about a minute then answered "I wouldn't choose anyone"
"Want to practice"?
"Okay"

Michaelangelo was in his own room, it was quiet, both of his arms were outstretched infront of him, he was holding a Nunchaku horizontally, his eyes closed, listening to a buzzing sound moving around the room, he could tell the distance to his target, he moved quickly, his left hand released his right hand moved right then circled left bringing the nunchaku back with amazing force and wack, he hit his target in midair, the fly was sent across the room, it landed dead.
Michaelangelo exhaled and then clapping from behind turned him around.
"Master Splinter"
"Your skills are improving Michaelangelo, you have even surpassed me in my use of these" commended Splinter as he handed Michaelangelo the other Nunchaku.
"Thankyou Master"

Raphael was looking at a tiny pen dot on a piece of paper about twenty feet infront of him, there was also one to his left, his right and behind, a small bell rang. and he threw his Sai hitting the mark, then ding, threw another, ding, drew a third Sai then finally a fourth hitting all targets.
After his fourth throw he seen Splinter in the corner of his eye.
Splinter wasn't sure if Raphael was ready to talk.
"What will you do with power"? asked Splinter.
"Protect the weak"
"What will the weak do with power"?
"Protect the poor"
"And who will protect you, Raphael"?
"I will protect myself"
Splinter sighed quietly then moved towards Raphael then tripped and fell down.
Raphael rushed over to help him up but Splinter slapped his hand away, making Raphael take a step back.
"Not yet my son" came Splinters last words.
Splinter got himself up, picked up his walking stick then revealed another Sai for Raphael.
"Five is better than four" he said with his gift held out to Raphael.
Raphael bowed in thanks and accepted the fifth Sai.
With every Sai presented to him Splinter had asked him a different question.
The very first time Splinter gave Raphael a Sai his question was "How many weapons do you have"?
The second question was "What is your name"?
The third was "Who am I".
Before Splinter left Raphael asked him "Did I answer the quesiton correctly"? and Splinters answer was always the same, "No".
