Aiko gasped as he was jerked back to consciousness. His eyes opened saucer wide for a moment before feeling a dull pain and immediately closing once more.
The only thing he heard was loud voices, yelling and going back and forth between two people.
"You said this would work! I don't see anything happening! I knew you were full of shit!"
That voice obviously belonged to none other than Ash. Aiko internally rolled his eyes. Now he really didn't want to wake up.
"It worked. He's awake," The voice sounded almost relieved.
After having been outed, Aiko pouted and reopened his eyes. No point in pretending if they already knew. His gaze was blurry and his head throbbed briefly as he took in his surroundings.
He saw Kai sitting next to him as he lay on the ground, finger pressed closely to his head as he gave him some spiritual energy. It was most likely to help him wake back up.
The sun shone in his eyes, but he didn't have the strength to shield his face. Jeez, was he unconscious the whole night? What a waste of precious time. He was almost tempted to groan bloody murder about the whole ordeal, at least, that was until a face eagerly blocked the sunlight from his line of sight.
"Aiko! Oh, thank the gods!!"
Aiko felt his head almost split from the yelling and the force of the hug Ash forcefully yanked him into. There was also the fact he didn't like to be touched, so it made his insides itch. However, he didn't react terribly because of his current condition and the lack of energy to do so.
So, in turn, he decided to groan his way out, hoping it'd work. Though, knowing Ash, there was a chance it wouldn't.
"Ash...," Aiko groaned, his throat dry, "Let me go. My head hurts."
"Let him go," Kai responded. When had Kai decided to join them?
Aiko looked to his other side where the voice came from and thought he was imagining things for a moment.
"And why should I listen to you? You're nothing special."
At Ash's reply, the other boy scoffed, "You know he doesn't like to be touched, so why are you doing so? And against his will when he has no choice from being weak at that?"
"Says the stalker who's been following us since we left the restaurant!!"
Kai only chuckled darkly in response, "Oh, so you're smarter than you look, aren't you?"
Just what were these two yapping about?
He sat up to the best of his ability to try and interrupt the two from their argument as Ash finally let him go upon Kai's demands, letting out a soft, "Kai?"
The other person reached over and gently grasped his waist, holding him up.
"Mn, it's me. Are you alright?"
Aiko nodded his head. "Yeah. I'm ok. Just...had a weird dream."
"Duh! Even an idiot could tell you were having some kind of wild dream. You were yelling and reaching out most of the time you were unconscious."
Aiko blinked a few times as he registered that. Ugh, how embarrassing...
"Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I...I don't know what happened..." Aiko looked down at his hands and stared at them for a while as he recalled the dream he had.
