They spent little time apart, going back to kissing not long after they had caught their breath. It was quiet around them, only the sound of their heavy breathing and lips crashing together until Sapnap interrupted them with a yell, "I fucking knew it!" What was with everybody yelling so early in the morning?

Dream jumped, his hands dropping to his sides from George's waist. His head spun around quickly to face Sapnap. He looked like a deer caught in headlights.

George began to blush and kept his eyes trained on the ground. The ground seemed pretty interesting, there was some concrete with a few crocks in it, some moss, a couple of ants, old chewed-up gum, and all the other wonderful things that can be found on the ground.

Sapnap laughed at Dream's surprised reaction and joked, "Dream's finally getting dick."

Dream glanced at George before awkwardly laughing it off, not wanting to make George any more uncomfortable than he probably was.

"Why are you here?" Dream asked Sapnap after getting over the initial shock.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sapnap asked, completely ignoring Dream's question and instead posing his own.

"We haven't told anyone yet."

George stayed silent, leaning against the wall and observing as they talked. "How long?"

"Two days... kinda." Dream wasn't sure how to count it, they had talked about it for a while but hadn't made it official until just 2 days ago.

"Oh. Okay."

"I'm not surprised," Sapnap spoke again after everything had sunk in.

"What's that supposed to mean?" George asked, breaking his silence and looking up from the ground.

"That it was really obvious both of you liked each other."

"That's not true!" Dream complained, he felt like he was hiding it pretty well.

"You basically told me on the first day of school that you liked him." Dream's cheeks started to turn a light pink, he had forgotten about that day. "And, I could tell by the way you guys looked at and acted around each other," Sapnap continued, further proving his point.

Sapnap's second statement made him nervous. What if other people could tell? What if they found out he wasn't straight and outed him to the whole school? There were too many possibilities. He could only hope that no one else noticed those same clues.

"So that's what you were whispering about on the first day of school?" George asked, directing the question to both Dream and Sapnap.

Sapnap nodded his head and tried to conceal his laugh as Dream spoke, "Yeah, why?"

George shrugged his shoulders, not really wanting to answer the question, especially not with Sapnap there. George decided on a short, simple answer that didn't give away much, "I was just nervous."

"I've got to go to class now, my teacher told me I had to come in before class today because I'm missing a ton of assignments," Sapnap complained to both George and Dream before slowly walking away. He hated talking to his teachers, they always told him the same thing, "You have to actually do your homework, you can't just ignore it." They must think he's really stupid, obviously he knows he can't just ignore his homework.

Once Sapnap had left, Dream turned his body to face George. "Is it okay if we don't tell anyone else about us?"

As much as Dream wanted to tell everyone, he also lived in Florida. Florida was notorious for being homophobic. He was also on the football team and he knew coming out would not go well with that, so he kept it to himself at all times. He hated it but it didn't really feel like a choice to him. At least he had come out to a few people and could talk to them about it if he wanted to, he couldn't imagine keeping it a secret for the rest of his life.
