LIGHTER IS OUT GUYS IT SOUNDS SO GOOD THE VIOLIN PARTS ARE MY FAVORITE.
(Luke pov)
I remembered a small part of when I was a dumb growing teenager. I was figuring myself out and I told my mum I wanted to be a model when I grew older. I remembered the half-chuckle half-scoff she gave to me.
“Why don't you become an artist, or a musician instead? You're very good in your band class, why cant you just pursue a career in that?”
I know she was just trying to be nice. But it still hurts. Why couldn't I dream and plan my future even if I have no knowledge of any of the topics? If you're passionate enough, I think you could do anything no matter your skill set.
I remembered that story when I sat outside, my hair blew gently in the breeze as I adjusted my bag.
A black bag that sorta looked like a purse was around my arm. It was perfectly fashionable, yet, was more practical than ever.
I stood there outside the lobby of my apartment complex before an all too familiar car rolled up in front of me. I smiled and opened up the door. Slipping into the passenger seat.
Ashton looked down at me, his eyebrows raised in a pleasant surprise as his eyes darted down every detail.
“Do you like it? Look, my nails and eyeshadow match the pants!” I spoke excitedly, showing him my self-manicured nail job. I thought it looked pretty good since I haven't done any of this stuff in a while.
He smiled comfortingly as he held my hand gently, looking at the purple glossy nails before pulling away.
“You look absolutely stunning.” He stared, mouth agape. “Are you ready to go?”
My face warmed at his compliment. Nodding happily as he started the car.
“Where're we going?” I asked, glancing down at the chestnut-haired man's clothes. It was a deep green blazer and black dress pants and a white button up under it. The blazer could be easily mistaken for black if you weren't to look closer. A simple outfit but the dash of color made it work.
“You'll see, you will love it, trust me.” He smiled, looking over at me just for a moment before focusing on the road again.
“Okay” I chuckled, resting my head on my hand as I looked at my phone,
I scrolled through my contacts as Ashton drove in a calming silence, the radio playing some song I didn't know. I deleted a few contacts that never talked to me anymore, or I simply didn't need.
My chest ached a little when I saw a certain name. ‘Mi Amor 😍❤’. I sighed quietly so Ashton wouldn't notice my upset expression.
I clenched my jaw as I blocked the number. I didn't need to be upset and reminisce on it anymore, I have Ashton now, I need to forget the past.
“Sure hope you aren't gonna be on that when we’re there” He teased, referring to my phone. I snapped out of my little daze and looked at him. “No, no, never.” I said, chuckling softly and shoving my phone in my pocket
I felt the car stop which made my eyes look out of the window to see where we were. My eyes completely lit up. It was beautiful. I had never seen this place before? Probably because of the lack of public transportation in this town but this was gorgeous. It had pretty orange and yellow lighting, a balcony seating area with heaters and everything screamed ‘fancy’ about it.
“Ash, oh my god..” Ashton smirked at my dumbfounded face.
“Told you you’d love it” He parked the car and walked over to my side of it and opened the door for me, I crawled out of the car, still staring at the restaurant in awe.
