Extermination day is upon us. Emily sends me back one last time before all Hell and Heaven breaks loose.

I go to the hotel first to check in with Charlie and her friends. Making sure everything is right, I give her one last peck on the head and tight hug before wishing her good luck.
"I love you Lottie. Be strong."
"I love you too, and I will."

Now off to see Lucifer.

This time he is expecting me and tries to do the same thing that Emily did.
"Please just stay here my love. At least until the battle is over."
"You know I can't do that dearest. Besides I have complete and total faith in our daughter."
"I do too but can't a husband be worried for his wife?"

I laugh softly before hearing a familiar humming sound. Emily must be opening another portal. We both turn to the gateway as it opens...

Lucifer immediately throws me behind him and moves his arms out in front of me.

Sera.

Not Emily.

"I won't let you take her!"

"I'm not here to harm her."

I gently push Lucifer's arm aside.
"Then why are you here?"

"Can we talk Elowyn? Please?"

I share a look with Lucifer, silently telling him it's alright. He nods, trusting me.
I slowly step into her portal which appears to be in her office at council hall.

"I'll bring her right back, I promise."

Lucifer quietly mumbles as the portal closes, "Not sure I can trust that, but I trust her..."

"What do you want?"

I instantly go into defense mode with my arms crossed over my chest.

"Elowyn please I just want to have a civil conversation with you."
"And I wanted to be with my family but I guess we can't all get what we want."

...

Wait.

"How did you know where I was?"

Sera is silent for a moment.

For a moment I think the worse.

She found me not in my cell.
Emily got caught.
She's going to ruin her life too.

No...

I would be the one that ruined her life.

"I know. I've always known."

"What're you saying?"

"Did you really think that I wouldn't notice my own apprentice following me and disappearing for hours a day?"
She smirks, giving a sense of lightheartedness.

"So then... why did you let her? Why did you allow me to visit Hell?"

"... I forever will regret what we did to you. What I did to you. No one deserves to go through what you did. Which is why I allowed it and told no one. I want you to have another chance. To choose what you wish. And if, or when, you choose to stay in Hell, I'll come up with something to tell the others. My wish is to do right by you now when I couldn't then."

"Sera, I... thank you... I'm honestly at a loss for words right now. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive you... but I will always remember you. The time we spent together and the lessons you taught me. You were like a mother to me and you'll always hold a place in my heart for that."

Sera wears a sentimental smile on her face and bows her head to me.
"Then I wish you luck and a happy life with your family. Now I think it is time for to be getting back. I did promise your husband after all and I believe Adam has already started his descent."

"Could you show me the hotel?"

She opens a portal, this time in the sky, of a bird's eye view. We're looking at the hotel from a little ways back.

I gasp.

There's no shield? But that means that...

"I need to get down there."

"I am granting you your angelic powers back. Use them wisely and go be with your family. Oh and take this."
She hands me a golden angel steel sword. It's beautiful.

I look up at her in admiration for one last time, "Oh and don't be too hard on Emily. She simply did what she thought was right," and lunge out of the portal.

My wings reflexively expand out to catch me. I notice my appearance has changed a bit now.

Wearing a white and gold armored dress that comes down to my knees with gold armored boots and of course a white ribbon to match. I feel my wings shift and look behind me in awe.

Instead of pure white they've turned to a deep black with horns extending from the top. I grin with satisfaction and race towards the hotel.
