Nat's POV:

I woke up to the sunlight streaming into the living room through the gaps in the curtains. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and tried to sit up, but couldn't. I looked down and remembered Carleigh was asleep against my side, her head on my chest. My right arm was completely numb from having her lean on it all night. She shifted a little so I knew she was awake. I smiled down at her contently. I could have stayed there all day if my stomach hadn't started rumbling. "Hey Carls." I said. She didn't move. "Carleigh. I'm straving. Can you let me up?" once again she didn't move. "Carleeeeiiiigh!" I whined make her turn her head but I could tell she was smiling. "Fine." I chuckled. I lifted her up bridal and flopped her down on the sofa.

I then made my way to her kitchen. I rummaged through her cabinets until I pulled out a box of pancake mix and made the batter. I put the pan on the stove and poured the batter. I made them look like hearts and poured lots of chocolate chips in them. I was about to scoop them up when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist from behind. "Hey there!" I said, smiling. She giggled and rested her head on my back. I scooped up the pancakes and put them on a plate. Carleigh gave me a huge smile and hugged me tightly before grabbing a few and sitting down at the table. I did the same and sat down across from her. We ate in silence (duh!) until I spoke up. "Hey Carls?" I asked making her look up."I've been meaning to ask you something." She cocked her head to one side. "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me."

Carleigh's POV:
"Did Nat just ask me out?" Yes! Yes he did! Nat just asked me on a date! I nodded excitedly. He grinned widely. "Great! I was thinking we could grab some lunch and then go to that new roller skating rink tomorrow." "I'd love to!" I shouted but, of course, only I heard it. So, I just nodded excitedly. "Great! He said again. "So, how's noon? We can go grab lunch at Kovachi's and then we can head to the roller rink! Sound good?" I mentally screamed inside, but I happily nodded. "Great!" Nat began, then checked his phone. "Hey, Carls, I just got a text from my mom. She wants me home. She's always had awful timing." He half laughed. I looked down sadly. "Hey. Don't be upset. I'll see you tomorrow, remember?" he reminded me lifting my head. I smiled, looking into his eyes. "I'll see you tomorrow around 12:30?" I nodded and smiled. I got up and walked him to the door. He opened it and picked up his skateboard. "Bye, Carleigh." Nat grinned before kissing my cheek and walking out the door. I closed it after him and stared out the window until he disappeared from view. I then bolted upstairs and flopped down on my bed spazzing like an epileptic fangirl! Nat just asked me out! I can't believe this! My best friend just asked me on a date.

Nat's POV:

*flashback to a few minutes ago*

"Hey there!" I said smiling. She giggled and rested her head on my back.

Oh my god. I made a mute girl laugh.
