AMELIAS POV:

"You think she's using again" Addison asked as we talked over the phone.
"Honestly I don't know, I hate to think it, but she's just seemed.. off? Lately" I said as I held my head in my hands.
"Amelia you know what to do if she is" Addison replied.
"I know, I just hate seeing her like this, what happened was disgusting, I can't even imagine what it was like for her to be in the room yelled at, videos are blowing up all over social media, she hasn't opened up to me about it at all, I don't even know how she's taking it" I said to my sister Addison.
"I've got to go now Amy, just be her Mom" Addison said before hanging up the phone.

Be her Mom, that's what I have to do, don't be her best friend, don't be her sponsor, be her Mom. I repeated to myself as I paced around my bedroom deciding how I would approach this, I need to be calm, but firm, make her understand that I'm in control, but also make sure she knows she can trust me, just be her Mom.

HARPERS POV:

Recently I got stuck into vaping, I mean it's healthier than smoking right? I puffed on my strawberry lemonade vape, breathing in the flavoured air.

My vape was running low, but I puffed every last drop of the flavoured substance, I didn't even notice my door open I was so stuck into the feeling of the vape air tingle down me as I breathed in every puff.

"Harper what the hell" Mom said as she grabbed the vape from my hand.
"Harper do you know how many harmful chemicals are in these" She said holding up the vape.
"It's better than smoking" I said rolling my eyes.

"Harper I'm not in the mood for the attitude, your an addict for god sake, these vapes are going to make you crave till you use, these things are dangerous and have so many dangerous substances inside them, NICOTINE! That's inside of them, nicotine affects your frontal lobe, your ability to make decisions" Mom lectured me, I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"Nicotine helps ADHD, so honestly I don't care, and ADHD already fucks up my decision making so honestly what's a vape gonna do" I said raising my voice slightly.

"Harper and that's why your more vulnerable to making stupid decisions, so this vape will make you make more, even worse, and don't even get me started on the other chemicals in this that can effect your lungs, kidney, liver, brain these things are dangerous and disgusting, I'm going to start searching your room, your clothes if your going to be vaping, I won't be able to trust you" Mom said strictly.

"Way to go! Would you like an award for party pooper of the year" I said giggling slightly, Mom was not impressed.
"Harper this isn't a joke, I'm doing this for your safety" Mom said and I ignored her, I didn't look at her throughout our whole conversation, if you could even call it a conversation.

"Harper look at me" Mom said and I looked at her in disgust. "Harper your using again aren't you" Mom snapped.

"What the fuck, I'm not" I snapped back.
"Harper, your pupils are constricted, don't lie to me" Mom said strictly, "I know your using again" Mom said sternly.
"No shit Sherlock" I snapped.
"Harper!" Mom warned, "Drop the attitude" Mom said firmly.

"Why are you even so bothered" I said rolling my eyes.
"Because you're my daughter" Mom said in a worried tone.
"You're not even my real mother" I snapped instantly regretting it.
"Harper.." Mom sighed.

Mom pulled me into a hug, I felt tears on my shoulder.

"I'm sorry" I said noticing she was crying.
"Harper I know you didn't mean what you said, just please let me help you, tell me everything" Mom said hugging me.
"I'm not ready to" I sighed.
"I know, but if you feel like it's getting bad you tell me okay" Mom said hugging me tighter.
"I promise" I said knowing I couldn't break it.

"Come on rockstar you're getting clean, I'll give you something to help with withdrawal" Mom said and I nodded willingly.
