Roommate

Yuya smiled broadly as he walked into the dorm building that he would be living in while attending university. He was so excited! It was his first time living away from his parents, and he couldn't wait to get himself set up.

It was a shame that Yuto wasn't his roommate, but at least Yuya knew that his best friend was in the same dorm building. He planned to visit Yuto after he got settled in. As the tomato arrived at his new home, he could hear the sound of someone scampering around on the other side of the door.

Yuya blinked and knocked on the door a little hesitantly. The scampering stopped for a moment, then Yuya heard it approaching the door. As the door swung open, the tomato got to see his new roommate for the first time. The first thing he noticed was the blue hair with yellow bangs that looked like a bunch of bananas. His immediate thought was that his roommate was a blunana. Then he blushed a little, trying to ignore that thought.

His roommate also appeared to notice Yuya's hair first, if the way his eyes focused on the red-and-green tomato fluff was any indication. Then he grinned. "Hi! I'm Yugo! Are you my new roommate?"

"Yeah, I'm Yuya! It's nice to meet you!" Yuya said. The blunana grinned and suddenly pulled Yuya into the dorm. It appeared to be a very nice dorm. Yuya smiled as Yugo began showing him around.

The front door opened onto a spacious kitchen/dining/living room combo, with a closet right next to the door. The kitchen had a silver fridge, a stove with an oven, a dishwasher, two sinks, a pantry, and a microwave above the stove. There was a dining table against the wall between the kitchen and a bedroom door, with four dining chairs. The living room had a sofa, a living chair, an end table, a coffee table, a rug, and a TV.

On either side of the living room was a door leading into the bedrooms. There were two bedrooms, each with a closet and an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Both bedrooms had a double bed, a desk, a desk chair, a rug, and two nightstands. Yugo appeared to have already claimed one of the bedrooms, as there were more decorations like motorcycle posters on the walls and lamps on the nightstands.

"You can have this room!" Yugo said, smiling as he showed Yuya the undecorated room. Yuya smiled and set his bags down next to his new bed. He could see one of Yugo's motorcycle posters on the wall of the blunana's room from this angle.

"You like motorcycles?" Yuya asked. Yugo lit up excitedly and nodded. "I love motorcycles! I have one I started building when I was twelve! I finished it enough to ride it for the first time on my fourteenth birthday! It's my most treasured possession!"

"Oh, that is really cool!" Yuya said, impressed. "You know, I've always wanted a motorcycle, but I never really had the chance to buy one. And I don't think I could ever build one! You must be a really good mechanic!"

"Yeah, I am!" Yugo puffed out his chest with pride. "I should show you my motorcycle later! I rode it here!"

"Oh, I'd love to see it!" Yuya said. Yugo grinned. "Then it's settled! I'll show you it later! But first we gotta get settled in!"

Yuya smiled happily. He could already tell that he and Yugo were going to be great friends.
