Roommate From Hell

Yuya was settling in quite nicely in his new college life. He got along very well with both Yugo and Yuri, although those two didn't seem to get along with each other as well as they got along with Yuya. Though they did seem to be quite fond of each other, and while they definitely seemed to intentionally push each other's buttons, they were still clearly becoming good friends.

Yuto also got along with Yugo and Yuri, though once again not as well as Yuya. Still, by the end of the first week of classes, the four of them were as thick as thieves. To the point where they would tell each other anything that was bothering them.

Case in point, the first Saturday of the term, when Yuri came into Yuya and Yugo's dorm early in the morning practically spitting flames from how furious he was. Yugo took one look at him and went to grab Yuya from his room, since the tomato seemed to have a natural gift for calming Yuri down when he was mad.

Yuya hugged Yuri, noticing that the cabbage-head had something sticky in his hair and he was still wearing pajamas, which appeared to be soaked. "What happened?" the tomato asked softly.

"I. Hate. My. Roommate." Yuri had venom in his voice. "He dumped a slushie on me to wake me up! It was FOUR IN THE MORNING!"

Yuya rubbed Yuri's back. "Why don't you have a shower in my bathroom, and I'll make you something to eat?" he suggested.

Yuri sighed and nodded. "Thanks, Yuya..." He reluctantly let go of the tomato and headed to Yuya's bathroom, while Yuya and Yugo began talking quietly about the situation. After a brief discussion, they came to an agreement, and Yuya started cooking up some ramen for breakfast. He hummed softly as he made some delicious pork tonkatsu ramen and added an egg, some bacon, green onion, baby tomatoes, and a dash of red chili flakes. By the time Yuri came back to the kitchen (wearing some of Yuya's clothes, no less) the yummy breakfast was ready.

"Hey, Yuri?" Yuya said as the cabbage started eating. "Yugo and I were talking, and we've decided that if you want, you can stay in our dorm to get away from your roommate. I mean, our sofa is pretty comfortable. We don't mind if you camp on it."

Yuri blinked. "Huh...? Really? You'd let me stay in your dorm? Why?"

"Cuz you're our friend, and your roommate sounds like he dug his way out of hell just to terrorize you," Yugo replied. "Seriously, you have more patience than I do. If I had a roommate like that, I'd probably be in jail for running them over with my motorcycle by now!"

Yuri blinked a little more, then smiled in gratitude. "Thank you..."

He finished his food, then left to grab some of his stuff from his dorm. He was gone for longer than Yuya and Yugo expected, so after a bit they decided to go to his dorm and check on him. As they were approaching the open door, they could hear yelling.

"THAT STUFF IS PRIVATE!" they could hear Yuri screaming. "HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I READ YOUR DIARY?!"

"I DON'T HAVE A DIARY, CUZ I'M NOT A LOSER LIKE YOU!" another voice yelled, presumably Yuri's roommate. "ONLY LITTLE GIRLS HAVE DIARIES!"

Yuya and Yugo peeked inside Yuri's dorm to see Yuri and his roommate screaming in each other's faces. Yuri looked like he was ready to strangle his roommate. Yuya rushed inside and got between the two of them, hoping to calm Yuri down. It seemed to work, as Yuri appeared to be very reluctant to throw any punches if there was a chance that Yuya could get hurt.

The roommate from hell, however, didn't seem ready to stand down. "Oh, yeah, that's right, get your boyfriend to save you, like a coward!" he sneered. Yuri bristled. "Yuya. Move. I'm going to kill him."

"He's not worth it," Yuya said. "Just grab your things, and let's go."

The roommate scoffed, and Yuya turned to glare at him. For a moment the roommate just glared back. Then, realization dawned in his eyes. "Wait... you're... aren't you... Sakaki Yusho's kid?!"

Great, it seemed the roommate from hell was a fan of Yuya's father. Yuya rolled his eyes and turned back to Yuri. "C'mon Yuri."

Yuri huffed and grabbed his belongings, and Yuya and Yugo helped him carry his things to their dorm. It took three trips to move everything, and every time they returned to Yuri's dorm his roommate tried to talk to Yuya. The tomato tuned him out, focusing entirely on moving Yuri's stuff to his dorm.

Finally everything was moved to Yuya and Yugo's dorm. They helped Yuri hang his clothes in the entrance closet, and he smiled gratefully. "Thanks, you guys. You have no idea how much this means to me."
