Ok so in this theory, we're going to be covering the story of FNAF 6 and these points:

-Molten Freddy is possessed by the MCI

-Sister Location takes place 2023

-Why Michael isn't the FNAF 3 nightguard.

-What the voice lines can tell us.

-Why William wasn't trapped for 30 years.

-Mrs. Afton's relevance.

-William sent Michael knowing of Baby's plan.

-Why Baby changes in FNAF 6.

-And then one point isn't really a theory, it's a headcanon.

NOTE: If you don't believe Mrs. Afton is Ballora, then just ignore that and hear me out on the rest.

Ok so as well all know, the main antagonists of this game are Molten Freddy, Scrap Baby, ScrapTrap, and Lefty. And the main protagonists are Michael and Henry. So here's how I think the story goes, first let's start from the beginning.

PART 1: The Afton Family

The Afton Situation:

That being 1983, CC Afton's death. Here's the thing, William Afton kills people, so why wouldn't he kill Michael after he CC died? It's just them two at home, well I believe there are two reasons. One reason is Mrs. Afton, William wasn't just going to kill her son, she was in his way. ALSO, I don't think enough people realize that technically Michael KILLED his brother, which means he isn't just going to be left off the hook. So I think the second reason why Michael wasn't killed was because he was in prison, and wasn't let out until he was 18, since as far as I know, that's how it works for minors. Now, back at the Afton home, William begins working at the new Freddy's location, with Mrs. Afton possibly deciding she wants to divorce William after basically losing all three of her kids. Now here's my headcanon, now we don't really know how Mrs. Afton died, and one thing I thought of is...well...what if she SAW? You know...the MCI. What if Mrs. Afton saw William in a SpringBonnie suit, and then connected the dots, she called him out, and then William killed her? I mean, I find it hard to believe William would just kill his wife, even if he is a monster, the fact that he has a wife means he must've loved her, so I think there had to have been a situation in which he had no choice. And so, he kills her and then...here's something not enough people mention. The Angsty Teen voice in SL tells us that a dead body was found in the vents once...it can't just be any dead body, I think that was Mrs. Afton's body, and that's how she possesses Ballora, because she was in the building. I mean, if it's the same layout, then she only had two options, Ballora or Funtime Foxy, and she went into Ballora (not that I think she had a LITERAL option, just that those two are the only two she could possess).

William Afton died in 2023

In Sister Location, Baby mentions that there was someone before Michael. Again, I don't think it was just some random guy, I'm pretty sure that SOMEONE, was Afton. William went down there to free his daughter himself, and possibly use her for something. But the Funtimes all grew aggressive towards him, and William found out about their plan to scoop him and escape, but unluckily for them, William escaped and then sold the robots to be used as Rentals. This could've happened in anytime in the timeline, 90's, 2000's, 10's, 20's, anytime between that. Baby and the gang were abandoned and have been angry ever since. Now let's go to 2023, when Fazbear Frights opens. Here's the thing, I did some research and I can't find anything that confirms that William was trapped for 30 years in Freddy's, it's said that it takes place 30 years after the first game, but they never mention William was there for 30 years. So with that being said, I think the FNAF 1 location is abandoned. You can tell it's not 1993 anymore. It's broken and run down, there are leaks, there are rats, places are boarded up, similar to how it looks like in the movie, it's abandoned, I mean, even Phone Dude mentions they went to that old location IN 2023. So I think once William heard about Fazbear Fright's, he decided to go back and destroy the suits so that the spirits would be gone once and for all, but then of course, he got Springtrapped. Then I think he stayed there for weeks at best.

Sister Location takes place 2023

Before this though, William called Michael after YEARS to tell him to go into the Sister Location. Here's the thing, Sister Location I think makes it pretty clear Michael owns the Afton house and lives alone now, if this game took place in the 80's, then where's William? It's clearly the same house, and wouldn't William see Michael come home with Ennard inside him? Wouldn't Ennard see William and be confused? Exactly, for this to work, William would have to be gone. So in 1987, William gets arrested for being a suspect in the DCI, 1987 is also when Michael gets out of prison, so he continues living in his house. We know of course William gets out of jail because how else would he go into Freddy's. Anyway, I don't think Michael and William ever talked after that, until years later. Because why would Michael just be randomly gone from the story and then appear in SL and PS? Because he stopped talking to his father. The thing is, William knew about what Baby would do, but he needed his daughter free, so he sent Michael. And another thing, Michael says the Funtimes all thought Michael was William, another reason it can't take place in the 80's. Why would the Funtimes mistake an early 20 year old for a 40 year old? Unless, it's 2023 and Michael is 40 by then, old enough to look like his father. Also, Michael mentions he's been living in shadows, so he wouldn't work at the FNAF 1 location if he was a rotting corpse.

Michael isn't the FNAF 3 guard

So more on this in the next section, but one thing I'll point out, the FNAF 3 guard is implied to have worked there for a while. Phone Dude says "I'm glad you came back for another night." Meaning that he was just a random security guard. How could Michael have known his fahter would eventually be brought there? I mean, even in Night 1, he's not there yet.

Sister Location and FNAF 3 happen at the same time.

Now, Michael can't be the FNAF 3 guard, because he's working at Baby's while it's happening. William tells Michael to go, William dies, SpringTrap is discovered, gets taken to Fazbear Frights. Meanwhile, Michael is at Baby's, gets scooped, and gets used as a doll for a couple weeks and then throws Ennard out. Now Michael has control again. Now here's the thing, the SL Custom Night cutscenes shows us Fazbear Frights burned down and Michael talking. Why would Michael tell his father he found Elizabeth DECADES later, no, I think after he gained control again, he went to go call his father. Plus, if he was the FNAF 3 guard, why would he just be so calm and also say he's going to go find him? Now it may sound weird, but it's 2023, so almost everyone has a phone on them, except obviously William can't use his. I don't think Michael is just sitting around somewhere talking to his father IN the Fazbear Frights fire, I think he called him and that's why he said he's going to come find him, because like I said earlier, they haven't seen each other in YEARS.

Why Baby's personality changes:

Now here's the thing, I've seen a lot of people wondering why Baby seems to be sentient in SL but is Elizabeth in PS. And I think I know why. It's because, in the beginning she is Circus Baby, but then she is scooped meaning she is destroyed. Baby mentions that she wants Michael to "save what is good." So I think Baby WANTED to die, and wanted Elizabeth to be free, and so...she died. Circus Baby died. But Elizabeth? No, she lived, she continued to possess Ennard and after she was separated from the rest, she rebuilt herself as Baby again as it was her original body, but Baby is gone, she is now a crazy psychotic monster ghost child possessing a hunk of metal. It's why she can now vaguely remember who she used to be.

Do Scrap Baby and ScrapTrap recognize each other?

Now I'm not entirely sure why the animatronics want to kill Michael in this game, but let's just ignore that for now. Now anyway, I don't think Elizabeth knew her father was ScrapTrap. Baby says, "you don't really know who your employer is...do you?" and Henry tells her, "nor have you been called here by the individual you assume." THAT'S THE KEY. Elizabeth thinks her father called her, and he's the guy who hired Michael. She thinks this place is a gift for her, now she still has pieces of Baby, she knows she was created to kill, so she thinks the MCI souls are for her. (More on that later). And it's why she says, "you played right into our hands" because she thinks she and William are working together. Now as for ScrapTrap...well we don't get much clues but I feel, like the horrible father that he is, he feels uncomfortable with Baby/Elizabeth, so he doesn't even talk to her, especially since Michael told William that, "they thought [he] was [him]" so he doesn't wanna risk Baby attacking him. Also small headcanon, Baby mentions it's like her birthday, and it feels like home, and she got a gift, so I think PS takes place around Elizabeth's birthday.
