The blaring sound of the horn was heard as five forest banshees made their arrival on Awa'tulu. The colourful ikrans landed on the shore gathering a large crowd of villagers.

Jumping off, The Sully family rushed together, with Jake showing his hand in surrender and Kiri wrapping herself tighter with her green handcrafted vine shawl. The feeling of unease and anxiousness lingered as the family of six started being surrounded by the indigenous people.

Two boys, with major height difference and curly hair in buns, snickered and passed by. Neteyam and Lo'ak were surprised at the disrespect of not being returned the gesture of oel ngati kameie. The boys laughed as the shorter made fun of them, "Look! What is that? Is that supposed to be a tail?"

Shocked and humiliated, both brothers look distastefully towards them, Lo'ak being rather focused on the metakayina female in the background. A young metakayina female, with braided hair, toned body and large pearlescent eyes that could draw in anyone with just a single glance. The female disconnected her que and swam to the shore dripping wet and flipping her hair back, leaving Lo'ak as a blushing mess. Both Neteyam and Neytiri noticed the youngest male Sully's response with Neteyam having teasing eyes and Neytiri silently smirking to herself. The young metakayina came forward and swatted the shorter male's hand," Do not Roxto, Ao'nung." Lo'ak tried to gain some confidence, after seeing the teasing smile of his older brother, muttered a quick hey towards her, sending her giggling.

The sweet flirting was interrupted by the Clan leader, along with a few warriors, arriving on giant flying animals with long snouts and humongous orange wings. Tonowari, Chief of the Metakayina was adorned in intricate woven garments made from the materials available to the indigenous area. A large Feather cape with a shell necklace (gifted to him by Thalirana when she was eleven) and a large pike. Tonowari signed and welcomed the Sully family,

But was interrupted by the arrival of his mate. Ronal, the tsahik of Metakayina, is a formidable and finance woman of character and confidence. The pregnant female had complex braids and was adorned with crystals and gems from the sea and a large clam shell headpiece signifying her status in the clan. Her presence and aura commanded respect, which unnerved Jake Sully quite a bit.

[Jake;] We seek Uturu, refuge!

[Ronal;] Uturu!?!

[Jake:] Yes, a sanctuary for my family.

[Tonowari:] We are reef people. You are forest people. Your skills will mean nothing here.

[Jake:] Well, we will learn your ways.

Ronal started walking around, observing the family's physical characteristics.

[Ronal:] Their arms are thin, and their tails are weak. You will be slow in the water."

She took Kiri's hands examining the," These children...are not even true navi!"] She walked over to Lo'ak raising his four-fingered hand, "They have demon blood!"

Jake, embarrassed and offended by the criticisms, quickly came to their rescue stating that he was born of the sky people yet now was a true navi. He promised they could adapt or rather would adapt. Neytiri immediately comes to her husband's aid stating that he is The Toruk Makto and that he had led the clans to victory against the sky people.

[Ronal:] This you call victory? Hiding among strangers? It seems Ewya has turned her back on you ... chosen one."

The underhanded comment riled Neytiri, leading to her and Ronal maliciously hissing at one another. The husbands made eye contact, mentally deciding on who would be breaking the fight. Jake sighed and stepped forward apologising for his mate, leaving Neytiri extremely embarrassed.

[Tonowari:] Toruk Makto is a great war leader. All Navi people know his story. But we, Metakayina, are not at war. We cannot let you bring your war here!

[Jake:] I'm done with war...okay? I just... want to keep my family safe. He replied, holding his youngest close and tight.

[Neytiri:] Uturu has been asked.

Ronal heard the whimpers of the youngest Sully asking if they would have to leave. Something inside her stung, reminding her of her daughter, miles away from home.

The clan leaders made eye contact, silently having a conversation. After what felt like an eternity to the Sully family, Tonowari spoke

[Tonowari:] Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as brothers and sisters. They do not know the sea, so they will be like babies...taking their first breath, teaching them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless. My eldest son Ao'nung and youngest daughter Tseriya will show your children what to do"

The Sully's quickly conveyed their thanks and followed the excited female along to their new home.

The village was built above water, connected through woven mats and ropes, which bounced at every movement (something the little Tuk quite enjoyed). Homes were suspended huts made of woven natural fibres and woods. The Sully's were led to an abandoned pod and left in a concerning situation.

The sun was setting, enveloping the sky in a magnificent magenta as they gathered for a family meeting, Jake asking each one of his children to pull their weight and be on their best behaviour. Tuk's silent cries in her mother's lap could be heard as she asked when they would be returning home. Jake, though disheartened, explained that this was their new home and optimistically tried to remind them that no matter what their family was their fortress and that "Sully's stick together."
