-based off a Melanie Martinez song 'crybaby' google it if you want to know more. But its mainly about being oversensitive/ crying about everything/ small things.

Anyway onto the chapter:

Jake slowly opened his eyes as the sunlight shone into his face from the window. It was more or less the middle of summer and it seemed like the weather was going to be great. Maybe he could drag Johnnie out of the house for once? Get him some vitamin D?

However, it was still the morning. And Johnnie was most likely still asleep, knowing him. So he decided to just get up and think about the whole 'going outside' thing later.

He lifted the covers off himself and swung his feet over the edge of the bed, sitting up. He then yawned for a good 10 seconds before standing up and lazily walked over to the door of his bedroom, opening it, and walking out.

He walked into the kitchen to make himself a decaf cup of coffee. He microwaved the water, because who needs a kettle? And he microwaved it for a good 3 minutes- he then poured the powdered coffee into the water and used a small spoon to stir it. Of course, he had to add some sugar because.... Just because it tastes better, i think?

But that was besides the point. He picked up the coffee and sat down Infront of the tv. He attempted a sip at the coffee before gasping and putting the cup down on the table before him. It was hot and he's burnt his tongue. Great.

But what was even better was the coffee did taste good. So at least thats there. As he waited for the coffee to cool, he simply watched tv - like a silly little movie he found. He lifted up his phone to check the time and decided it was uppie uppie time for his vampire friend.

And with that, he stood up and began making his way to the Johnnie Guilberts room. *The Johnnie Guilbert* sounds fun, he shrugged.

He slowly opened the door to Johnnies room and his expression softened when he saw his best friend. He was wrapped in like 3 blankets, even though it was like 30 degrees outside and pretty warm inside the house too. His cheeks were marked by smudged makeup and black tear tracks. And his hair was just an absolute mess.- worse than usual.

He walked in and softly closed the door behind himself when he was fully in the room. He slowly walked closer towards the bed. Jake sat on the edge of the bed and just looked at Johnnie for a couple seconds. He felt bad, especially because he didn't know what he was upset about. He put his hand on Johnnies shoulder and softly started to shake the shorter boy.

And just like that, a couple seconds later, his eyes fluttered open as he looked around the room, still completely still. Soon enough, his eyes landed on Jake and he smiled.

"Jake" he said visibly happy to see him- even though he just woke up.

"Johnnie" Jake smiled back at Johnnie, still a look of worry made an appearance over his face.

"You okay, man?" He asked slightly frowning.

"Im fine, why would i not be?"

Was he crying for so long he doesn't even remember he did so?
Did he cry himself to sleep?

"Well... You look like youve been crying.. i mean, correct me if im wrong, but...."

Johnnie opened his mouth to say something but looked away and shook his head when nothing came out.

Jake tilted his head to the side as he clearly pitied his elder friend.
"Well you know you can talk to me if your feeling down.."

The short, raven-haired boy nodded slowly ,still looking down at the floor.

Suddenly, Jakes eyes widened as he looked at Johnnie.

"You haven't.... Yknow..?"

He looked up and made eye contact with Jake and shook his head.

"no..."

Jake nodded. He believed him, but all he could really do is hope hes telling the truth.

"So.. do you wanna tell me whats got you so down?" Jake rested his hand on Johnnies calf as he was sitting up in his bed.

"well to be honest, i dont really know.. i think everything is just hitting me, and ive also just been on twitter all night which" he let out a small laugh which also screamed dissapointment and regret, almost

"Which probably want a good idea. But once im on i cant really get off it"

Jake nodded in understanding.

"Okay, but just know that your not very good at hiding tears. This isnt the first time ive seen or heard you crying this week" he smiles

Johnnie returned the smile and playfully punched Jake in the shoulder.

"And you had to bring it up?"

"You know it" he said in his fake 'southern accent' thing.

Johnnie slightly laughed and looked at Jake.

"Well thanks, for... This"

"Anytime! Again, you tell me anything okay?"

"Okay Mummy Jake"

They both slightly laughed and Jake pulled Johnnie close into a hug.

And they just kind of sat there for a few minutes.

"Are you sure theres nothing else worrying you?"

"Yeah, i think thats all. But maybe its also that i just hate the summer" he shrugged and smiled.

"Well, what do you say we go on a little walk, get you some vitamin D"

"sure, im bored anyway"

And so they did. The walked, and walked, and walked. They had lots of fun just doing nothing but talking and being goofy. It was very enjoyable, but it was getting dark. And they settled on home. Although, the walk back to home was at least another 10 minutes.

Oh well.

They walked, skipped, ran, jumped, cartwheeled back home. Just doing random shit and laughing about it. Who knew a sinple walk could literally be a whole days worth of entertainment.

But soon enough, they got home. It was quiet. It was peaceful. There was no one but them in the house. They both parted ways into their own bedrooms.

"Wait" Jake stopped Johnnie from walking into his own bedroom.

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna sleep in my room? Maybe you wont feel as upset as you were this morning?"

"You know what? That sounds good"

And so they got into bed, closed their eyes, and fell asleep in each others embrace.

"I love you Johnnie" was the last thing he said before completely blacking out.
